Default How many inches?

I can't seen to find anywhere what a healthy number of inches lost would be good in a month. I'm trying to set myself realistic goals, would anyone be able to help?

I think It all depends on what you weigh just now, how tall you are, age, exercise. Last January at 23 stone 1 and 5ft 6, I set myself a goal of losing 2 inches a month, which meant 24 inches in a year. I wasn't going to the gym though, It was all diet alone that I was working on. Some months I was 4 inches, some months I was .5, so it does fluctuate a lot. Now I am at the gym I still aim for 2 inches, but it will get more difficult the smaller that I get. I would say that 10-13 stone (at 5ft6), you are looking at about 1-1.5 inches per month from the full body. 13-16 stone maybe about 1.5-2 inches. 16 Stone + should be able to lose 3inches a month.

Again this all depends on how quickly you want to try and drop the weight, where you were to start with, you measurements at the beginning.... probably why you cant find an average on google.

I still aim for 2 inches a month, losing at 1.3lbs a week. By the time I hit 16 Stone I might struggle to lose 2inches as I will be about a size 16 by then.
