Default The Weekend - February 11th and 12th

Good Saturday morning. I was wide awake at 5 and had just convinced myself to go back to sleep when the plough went clattering down the street.

Off for breakfast with Bruce at our pop-up cafe and then may go to the city for odds and ends of shopping. On the other hand, snow is in the forecast - we got 2" last night with the promise of much more to come. There is a "Welcome Home, John" dinner at Heather's house tomorrow and I'm slated to make the infamous rum cake so I may just cozy into the house for the day.

Trying to get my head around clothes for my week in Georgia. I will probably be mucking around in the garden and with the animals so jeans and t-shirts may do it. I do hope to go carry-on since I have three different flights which sure increases the chance of lost luggage.

Back later to be sure everyone is up!

Good morning Ruth, and chicks to come! (Ruth, your computer is playing tricks on you. You might want to do a merge.....)

We have snow this morning and more expected later. I am planning on doing chores today: cleaning, laundry, some paperwork. I find it too easy to waste time on the computer so I am going to try to stay away from it, once I've said hello to you guys, of course!

Ruth, sounds like a nice weekend of socializing! Enjoy yourself.

I will check in later but I'm off to refill my coffee cup. Have a great day, chicks!

Good morning,

The cat tried to wake me up at 5:00 a.m. this morning, managed to get back to sleep until 6 a.m. Already did some yoga and 1 mile walk and had breakfast and finishing up a cup of tea. On the agenda today is cleaning house and going to get mani/pedi's (getting ready for trip next weekend). Plan on doing some outside work today as we will be in the 60s today. Last night DH and I just stayed home while DD2 was at dance, we did look at the moon.

Ruth sounds like you have a lot of socializing going on this week

Beth your day sounds about like mine, I am going to try and limit computer as well.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning!

I was going to try to say hello before I took my mom to her breakfast. That didn't work out. Then I got home and forgot. LOL i'm working on the company books until 10 then I'm heading down to help her doggy day care lady. She's moving out at the end of the month. I think I've decided that since I don't feel that great and it's cold outside that I will just try to keep working on the books and see if I could actually get them all finished. Probably not the reports. I am already through March.

I will do a little picking up around the house, too. Have a great Saturday everyone!

Hi everyone,
Just checking in.
Ruth, you're coming to GA? I'm in Roswell, 35 mi no of ATlanta.
We actually were outside for some gardening/cleanup prep for veggies.
Some light cooking, red lentil curry in the pressure cooker, then a shower, and laundry.
The stretching and bending outside wears me out, I just want to nap. So I sat down to see you guys.
Later,
Elyse

Yeah my weekend has officially started lol. Ruth if you are staying some where with a washer and dryer, try to pack small and just do laundry. My mom packs well when she visits. I on the other hand seem to pack way too much. When are you leaving?

Debbie sometimes being a little under the weather forces us to tackle those little tasks we try to avoid. Hope you feel better soon.

Beth my DS was ecstatic over a snow day too. I didn't get one (like I ever do lol). Enjoy your weekend. Is school closed Monday?

Pearlrose getting to work outside??? OK I'm jealous. I did see the moon too and it was amazing. Hope you had a great day.

Elyse hope you got a nap in. I took one last Monday first one in a long time and it felt great!

Home from work and laundry is started. I even had dinner (I know its not even 5 yet). I actually prefer to eat early as I am usually looking for a snack when I get home from work. Will spend some quality time on the bike again tonight and tomorrow. Tomorrow afternoon I am going to a fundraiser a fellow rider is sponsoring. It's at a local pub in Peekskill. I volunteered to help. This way maybe I can avoid some of the "bar food" and drinks. I'm saving my wine for after I complete the online cycling tour on Monday.

Ok time to get myself in gear. Have an enjoyable evening!

Good morning!

I'm officially back to the salt mines today. My friend and I did get down to help my day care lady yesterday. I made several trips to the dump and we got some things packed. I showed her how easy it was to sell things on the Facebook garage sale site. She had already sold several items by the time I got home.
I fell asleep early then got up later and made whole-wheat pancakes. I have been craving them. Then close to midnight the kids got rowdy next-door. There was a flight out in the street so I called the police. It had broken up by the time they arrived but I just didn't feel like doing nothing. Of course, that it was difficult to get back to sleep. Oh well. I'll make it through work and take it easy when I get home.

Elysi, Red lentil curry sounds really good! I think I am out of Red lentils.
I guess I better make my smoothie. Have a great Sunday everyone!

Good morning. We are getting another 8" of the white stuff today. Not happy as I plan to go to a fundraiser later today, which I said I would help at. Nancy and Jim left this morning for Florida. Hopefully their flight is not delayed. Rylee will be spending some quality time here. I am hoping Coconut might be different with Rylee without Mick here. Maybe he will like her company. When I am at work I will bring Rylee to her house as I don't know if I trust Coconut to behave lol.

I've lost 2 pounds since last week, which makes 3 for the month. I told myself once I got back to goal I would make an appointment for a physical. I actually need to make appointments with the eye dr and the podiatrist too. Maybe even the dermatologist as I haven't had a skin cancer screening in quite some time.

Just got a text, the fundraiser has been rescheduled to March 26th. Actually relieved as I have to take care of 3 driveways today. Mine, Jim's and our neighbor Georgia. I hope there is enough gas in the snow blower. Although I know where Jim keeps his gas can PHEW.

Good morning, chicks!

I am off to the grocery store in a few minutes; we are also slated for a foot of snow tonight into tomorrow and I suspect there will be a crowd in another hour.

Very productive day yesterday; I love the feel of a squeaky clean house! I still have 1 load of laundry left for today but that's no big deal. After groceries I hope to do a little paperwork and do some sort of workout, although that might involve a shovel. lol

Jennifer, great job on the weight loss! It's nice that your fundraiser got postponed.

Elyse, while I am jealous of you being outside working right now I will not be so envious in the middle of July. Hope you got a nap.

Ok, DH is ready to go so I'm off!

Good morning,

So I did not work outside yesterday, never got to it, partly because DH is sick now as well. We did get mani/pedi's done and I made dark chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine's and only had 2 of them. I only made a dozen and let DD2 and her friends have a few and the rest will be for DD1 and her friend. The house is full of friends who spent the night lol. Today is supposed to be even nicer than yesterday so will do the outside today.

Jekel noticed you had posted in last weekend post but Ruth got it. Glad they moved the fundraiser and I hope Coconut enjoys the company

Ruth when are you leaving for GA, we are going to Biloxi, MS on Thursday for a long weekend to visit my parents.

Elyse that sounds good, DD2 and I have been looking at different new recipes to switch up instead of just having meat and salad.

Beth glad you got your cleaning done and hope you don't get a foot of snow

Debbie good idea of tackling the books while you are still a bit under weather and knock them out

Have a great day everyone!

I didn't even catch my error. Thanks Ruth. I have 3FC always in my browser. Guess I should have refreshed it. Or maybe this is the official first sign I am losing it LOL I'll blame it in cycling fatigue.

Pearlrose great willpower. I don't think I could limit myself to just two! Bet they were yummy. I love dark chocolate and strawberries.

Beth I hope the grocery store was not too crazy!

Debbie all the years I have been on Facebook I had no idea there was a yard sale page. What a great idea.

Coconut has officially decided he hates Rylee. Poor Rylee is such a sweet, overweight, yellow lab that loves everyone even nasty Coconut. Coconut is certainly the king of this castle! Just waiting impatiently for a break in the snow to get started.
