Who out there loves creating stuff? Tell me about the projects you're working on.

As for me, I dabble in a variety of things (painting, glass etching, cross stitch, knitting), but I keep coming back to quilting. I love making pretty things, and my family often requests sewn gifts at holidays. Recently, I've been working on making blocks for a block exchange with other quilters at my office.

I quilt too! I'm making a bedspread/sofa quilt for my partner. Blocks made of four quarter-square triangles from stripy Kaffe Fassett fabrics, in various sizes, set on point with black sashing. I'm a bit stuck with the colours at the moment.

ME!! Although lately the only crafting I've been doing is working on props and costumes for performances. But I do love crafting of all kinds.

Esofia - Yay, another quilter! That sounds like an interesting pattern. Hopefully they'll appreciate the quilt.

Martina - I'm so envious of people who can make their own clothes/costumes, it sounds like so much fun! Especially now that Yaya Han has her fabric line at JoAnn's. It just seems hard to find patterns in larger sizes.

So far I do hand stitching, I have a sewing machine but I'm kind of afraid of it. But I've hand made bras, and I do make my own shimmy belts, etc. As soon as I get the craft room cleaned up and out, I'm bringing the sewing machine out again!!!

I mostly prefer seasonal crafts, like holiday or season themed decor/decorations. I also do scrapbooking and card making from time to time

The ribbon bouquets for the rehearsal for my bride friends…. I kill it. You want your ribbons glued to look like roses, you got it, you want that tacky wedding rubber ducky in it… you got that too… It's my jam.

Love all the creative energy in this thread! You all make me want to bust out my old craft supplies again. I was scrolling through stitch fix reviews https://stitch-fix.pissedconsumer.com/review.html earlier and realized picking materials and colors feels kind of like picking an outfit — personal and fun. The stuff you’re sharing here is seriously inspiring
