I started SBD yesterday, and I know that I wasn't completely prepared so I didn't eat meals yesterday, I kind of just took the entire day and grazed with the acceptable foods probably in the proper quantities, just not in a 3 meal/2 snack format. I did wake up today and lost a few pounds, but am not that excited, know it was just that I have been so bad lately it was just excess water etc weight.
I made one of my favorite low carb snacks and wanted to know if it is considered acceptable on Phase I...SF jello mixed with lowfat cream cheese sub, I wiskit and it turns into a great snack, because it is dense, it tends to stick to my stomach more and gives me a more satisfying feeling.
I also am taking sf citrucel twice a day, will that affect anything? I tend to need the citrucel when I cut out carbs.
Next week I am going out to dinner, and we are going to this french restaurant that I can eat OP for the meal, but we (4 gal pals) are going to split some deserts, I want to plan for that now, so I am going to pick up an extra day of exercise and just expect a minor setback so that I won't be disappointed.
I feel like my mentality around food is either I am on a diet and completley watching, or I am NOT on a diet and I have to eat as much as I can because I will then be on the diet and won't be able to eat what I want. I want to find the middle ground and I think that SBD may be a good bridge for this.....because of the combo of foods (not totally Atkins---limiting for me not WW-too lenient for me).
Well, nobody says we have to have three meals a day. Maybe snacking and grazing on the right foods is the key for you.
SF Jello is fine but what exactly is LF cream cheese substitute? It sounds like it would do no harm anyhow. Citrucel is a great idea.
Don't put down water weight loss! It all has to go sometime. It sounds to me as if you are well on your way to a prime spot on The Beach! (Don't sit near Den and Ellis - they have sand fights!)
It sounds as if you have a great plan. I would say you are currently a member of the dreaded "All or Nothing Club!" SBD has helped me to quit that club, and hopefully will help you too. Everyone here is a great source of support and gentle reminder that a slip or two isn't the end of your good intentions or your progress. Learning to forgive your lapses in good judgement is a huge step forward. Planning ahead is a great way to help walk the middle course, too!
I feel exactly the same way!!!!...In the past..I will be on plan perfectly say for two days..and then maybe on the third day I eat a no.no.. I say to myself oh well..you have completely fudged up!Then I almonst feel a freeing of myself?..It is kinda strange and sick in a way..Makes me feel unnormal and really out of control with my self?...Starting on Monday I hope and pray to start mentally telling myself that if I do slip up..we all do!...It is OK...just immediately start doing better with the next meal..not the next day..BUT the next meal!..
I have read over the SBD and think it sounds great...I hope to graduate to that eating plan one baby step at a time!
I think coming to this forum daily ...is the kind of positive reinforsement we need to keep the JUNK out of our heads..that and a lot of pampering..to build self-esteem! ...tootles
Thank you all, I have taken the posture right now that the grazing is helping, because whenever I am hungry I eat. My dog (who I just inserted as my avatar and he is at the beach!!!) loves snacking with me, I give him some cheese andhe licks the peanut butter cup (I have celery sticks and pb for snack).
It was a test today, I had a very stressful day with all my clients/mother and my business partner (we are more like a married couple) all demanding so much from me. I am going in a few minutes to take my boy to the p-a-r-k for a walk!!! I can't say the word, he knows what it means!!!
I am finding the boards very helpful and fun when I wake up, take a break and winding down the day....thanks again!!!
I agree with what all the the previous gals have said. . You are on the right path. Just don't give up when you have an off day. We all do, and the right thing to do is to get right back on plan.
This is a great place to come for support and a laugh or two also. Great gals. Ann
I was so excited as I figured it out that a lot of you have fur babies!! I just had to share my boy with everyone. They are ALL just so cute!! he is absolutely my everything!!! Thanks again!!!!
Rowan, I guess you adore your furry boy as much as I love my darling Girls. They really do have red and blue collars.
Maybe we should start a new Forum called Doggie Doters On The Beach!
