Smile new start new begining

Hey guys !! Im so glad I have found this Forum! My name is Emily and I will be 30 in 27 days and my goal back in the day was not to be fat when I turned 30 . But here I am overweight and don't even like to look at my self in the mirror. I currently am 249 @ 5'7 . So pretty over weight ! I lost 100 pound 2 years ago and have gained 52 of it back ! I felt so good when I was 197 everything looked good on me and I had a lot of confidence. Now I keep my head down in public because I think all I am is just fat .

So I am going to change !!! I like to set small goals at first . If you tend to set big goals you are easily discouraged ! my end goal is to be 185! But small goal is to get to 225!

Can anyone tell me how to get the tracker of weight lose on my post ?!

Hey Emily!
Welcome! I understand the discomfort with going out and keeping your head down due to lack of confidence. I feel the same way and am trying to lose weight to gain my confidence back as well! Good luck with your goal, with the support from this community I have no doubt you will be successful in losing weight!

In regards to the tracker, I believe you have to be a member for at least 20 days and have 20 posts before you can add a ticker to your signature.

Welcome to 3FC, and yes you have to be a member for 20 days and make a certain amount of posts before you can add a tracker under your user CP.

Hi Emily!

I know exactly how you feel! I lost over 170 lbs over the course of 5 years. Two years ago I moved to a new city and everything changed... including my eating and exercise habits. Long story short, I have gained 56 pounds back! I am trying to get back on track with eating better and making small changes to try to incorporate back into a healthy lifestyle.

Have you found that any type of specific diet or exercise helped you achieve results in the past? What do you plan on doing this time around? I am always looking for new and interesting ideas!

hey ! so for late response!! Wow you lost a lot of weight !!!! I wish I would of stopped when I started gaining the weight back but I thought I had it under control guess I was way wrong lol. I plan on doing what I always do !!1 DRINK DRINK DRINK WATER !!!! lots of water ! at least 64 Oz of water a day that will clean you out !! I stay away from fast food for the most part but I've found you can always find ways to make better choices when eating out ! We all know what's healthy and what isn't . I eat anywhere from 1200 to 1500 calories 6 days a week< salads, low fat dressings , tuna , flat breads , veggies, and etc . And on day 7 after I weigh, I have my cheat day where I can eat what I want. This plan has always worked for me. I always lose about 12-14 pounds the first two weeks then it starts slowing to 4 pounds a week then about 2 a week ! after the first month I start working out and it continues to fall it took me about 8 months to lose the 100 but took me two years to gain 50 + back

I'm in the same boat as you all. I lost weight and gained a lot of it back. Not all of it, thank goodness, but enough to be fat again. Happy New Year. We will succeed again and hopefully we have learned out lesson to keep it off this time!!! I'm new to this forum and also trying to figure out how to do stuff. I wonder if you can friend certain people? It would be great to keep in touch and support each others progress.

Hi eLany, I totally agree with your statement of being thankful for not gaining it all back, but enough to be fat again. Right around 225 is when I really started feeling "fat" again, my stamina is definitely down as well as having an overall feeling of sluggishness. Thanks for staying positive and spreading it to us

Hyperchic654, I know you feel as well! I swore I had it all under control and then it felt like overnight 20lbs came back and then it just crept up so fast from there! I have definitely increased my water intake and my skin feels so much better already. I haven't gone out to eat yet (which is always my pitfall) but I will have to try to make better options while dining out. Usually I have a pretty good streak where I eat healthy, then I will "reward" myself by getting whatever I want while eating out... then that usually triggers more bad choices from there. Those numbers are impressive! 14 lbs in one month is a lot! I have about 80 lbs left to lose, I will have to try some of your tips to get there!
