Default New(ish) and not sure where I belong

Hi everyone,

I used to be a regular user of this site years ago when I did LA Weight Loss. There was a sub-forum for LAWL and I found it immensely helpful. While I wasn't thrilled with LAWL itself, the people in the forum were awesome

Life took some turns since then. I left my then fiancé, stopped LAWL, moved to the city and took on a second job. I lost the weight and was doing great at keeping it off...until I moved back to the rural area. In the city I walked everywhere, in the country it just isn't feasible. I gained all the weight back and then some. I tried changing what I eat and exercising but the weight wasn't coming off. I felt like I was constantly starving and my portion sizes were out of control. The more I tried to exercise, the hungrier I was. I finally sought help and am now taking medication (Saxenda) to help with the hunger.

I am not sure what sub-forum would be best for me, so I will likely lurk in a few. I have PCOS, insulin resistance, eat low carb/high protein and am walking and running for exercise. I want to add strength training back in but haven't gotten around to it yet. I started Saxenda in May and have managed to lose 28lbs since then. I still have about 60-70lbs to go. I would love to find some accountability posts and challenge posts if there are any.

Glad to be back and look forward to chatting .

I'm not an expert . Just saying that right up front.
I'd say separate your exercise approach from your calories.

I mean approach your exercise as active. But not the main driver in calorie s.
It sounds from just this post alone that your calories are not commiserate with weight loss. I know that sound way too simple.
But say you kept a phone app that tallied you exercise calories .and also your intake calories. My bet is your exercise calorie s. Are not measuring up. So don't drop what you do for exercise. Just don't put as much emphasis. That your exercise will work it all off.
I make a modest goal of 1lb a week. In a years time it's doable 50lbs and it works albeit slowly I'll have learned alot about what I can keep and what has go on the menu. Then that second year.keep on along progress on the compound lifting. If your able.

Wishing you well. keep in touch
