Default Too good to be legal!

I just tried Laughing Cow cheese and it is just too good to be true that we can eat this on SBD. My question though is, I didn't find any 'lite' so bought the regular. Does anyone know if this is still OK to eat?

Also, how about refried beans - I bought vegetarian style, no fat ones and just want to be sure they are OK.

Is anyone here that can answer these questions?

Thank you!!!!

Hi, Wildflowers!!
I'm relatively new to SBD, too. However, I was told that Laughing Cow should be the light version. I found it at a grocery and spread it on Celery. It's actually pretty good. I'm sure not as much as the whole fat version...but you can't have everything!
I'm not sure about the beans. If you leave your message until morning, there are a bunch of really smart SBDers who can address this question much better than I.
I'll be interested in the answer, also.
Talk with you soon.

1. Laughing Cow Cheese comes in a round cardboard container, and the chees is in individually wrapped pieces inside. IT IS GREAT!!!! We are supposed to eat the light version, which is tasty, doesn't taste light at all.....my kids are eating it too!!!

2. On phase 1 you are NOT supposed to eat pinto beans. They are higher on the glycemic index than other beans, so you can't eat them until phase 2. You CAN have refried black beans the first week, however!!! No fat would be the best, and then something made with healthy oils. NO TRADITIONAL BEANS!!! (They are made with lard which is incredibley tasty, but a big no-no!!!)

Making your own beans is even better!! You can cook and mash them, saute onions, garlic and green pepper in olive oil, add cumin and mashed beans.....WOW!!! INCREDIBLE!!!!

Hello Wildflower! I just came back from my daughter's wedding (June) in SoCal! Small world, eh? She and my darling son-in-law live in Fullerton. I really liked SoCal, especially my mini vacation in Oceanside at a luxury condo timeshared by my new inlaws. They just about had topry me away from the door of the codo when we left! It was sooo wonderful. Wish we could relocate there. I miss my Cali daughter!

Loughing Cow also makes little wax coated cheddar type cheeses. they are lite, and come five in a little bag. They are really good, too, and make a nice change from the Mozzarella sticks for a snack. go well with Phase 2 fruit. They don't spread, they are more like a little Edam cheese. Hope you can find them. We get them at Sams Club. Ann

Thank you everyone for the good information! I just knew I'd find the answers here.

Ballerina'sMom - Yes, So. Calif. can be beautiful and we make trips to the Oceanside area quite often.

Thanks again!
