Good morning! I've got coffee if you have a minute to sit.

Its rainy today so I will be inside doing some laundry, cleaning and lounging. I will also find the energy to do some exercise. The weather looks to be nice the next couple of days so I will be sure to get outside and enjoy the leaf colors.

What's up with everyone else?

Good morning neighbour Beth. We share the same weather as well as coffee.

Today is son Jim's birthday and his in-laws are celebrating Thanksgiving as well. I am always a tad disappointed when I arrive and don't smell turkey cooking but MIL Rikki cooks and carves the bird two days ahead. I can see that but miss the aroma. They are very welcoming and gracious though and I appreciate being included. I've often thought of inviting them here but there are 23 of then plus assorted kids so I don't!

So I'll shower, dress in some thing festive and bright, put on a smile and hit the road.

Good morning,

I slept in this morning, needed it I was tired. Science Center was fun and then we went to slasher fest at the drive in (got a mite chilly in the car) which I slept through half of the movie but atleast DH had company. DD2 opted to stay home with DD1 (who was oncall). Today the high is in the 60's house is a little cold but not too bad this morning. This evening DH wants to go to a soccer game not sure if I will go or not.

Beth enjoy your 3 day weekend

Ruth have fun celebrating your DS Birthday and Thanksgiving

Have a great day everyone!

Ruth I too enjoy the aroma from turkey. This year I am hoping to convince Joe to have Thanksgiving. I love my brother and sisters, but their traditional Thanksgiving dinner is nothing like my idea of dinner. Lol Hope you enjoyed Jim's birthday celebration.

Beth hope the weather clears for you today to enjoy the leaves. We will be traipsing around the city in the rain today.

Pearlrose I can't remember the last time I went to a drive in. Sorry the movie couldn't keep your attention lol.

Today Joe and I are starting the day with lunch in City Island (the Bronx). Then going to Manhattan to see a one woman play called Dead Shot Mary. It is based on the life of the first woman detective in the New York City Police Department. I think I am going to drive to the city as the weather is supposed to be crummy. We may cheat and take the subway over to the west side.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning, chicks.
The clouds seem to be lifting from the deluge yesterday; I can't complain since we needed the rain and it forced me to stay in and do some chores. I am still trying to sort through and toss out some stuff that has accumulated over the years and made some progress. Today I would like to get out and enjoy the fall colors a bit.

Ruth, I thawed a turkey yesterday; not sure if I will cook it today or tomorrow but maybe I can send the scent your way! The last few years she hosted the holidays my mom would cook the turkey the day before; I think she had too many years where it wasn't done on time.

Jennifer, enjoy the play!

Pearlrose, I have a hard time staying awake in the evening also! Falling asleep at the drive-in.

Debbie, hope today is lucrative.

Have a good day, chicks!

Good morning from beautiful and sunny Delta. The leaves are at their peak today and we have normal fall weather. Finally it's time to swap the wardrobe and turn OFF the AC. (Drove to the BD dinner in the rain yesterday but the colours lit the way.) The dogs were good although they had their legs crossed after seven hours on their own.

Beth, how did you manage a three day weekend? By the way, do you get four days at Thanksgiving or do you have to work on Friday. I bet the leaves are pretty this time of year.

Rose, I'd definitely pass on the slasher movie - I'm a wimp! However, I'd love the soccer game. It's the one sport I understand since I was a sponsor of our girl's team here in the county. They went to Sweden to play in a tournament.

Debbie, did the snow leave? And how are things with your adorable new pup! I am getting the "urge" to adopt again but am resisting it. So many poor pups needing a home.

Jennifer, I envy you living close to NYC! I love theatre and avidly read the reviews in The New Yorker, skipping all the US election articles! I hope Joe does do a turkey. I may hie me to the store in Westport today and buy a leg with thigh to roast, just for the aroma.

I'm off to do a few house jobs and then will enjoy the rest of the glorious weather. Hope you can do the same.

Good morning,

It looks to be another lovely day outside today. Maybe we will go pumpkin picking will need to see what DD1 has on her schedule for today. Lat night DD1 ended up having a sleep over at a friends house so DH and I went to the indoor soccer game, it was fun. I got some house cleaning done so will do the rest today as well.

Ruth glad you had fun at the Thanksgiving dinner

Jekel sounds like you had a fun day planned yesterday

Beth I fall asleep easily in the evenings past 9 p.m. lol, hope you get to see of the colors today

Have a great day everyone!

Ruth, Monday is Columbus Day which is a federal holiday so schools are closed. On American Thanksgiving we get Wednesday through Friday off, so 5 days there.
