Good Morning!

Fired up the computer to get us started this morning. Coffee awaits downstairs.

We put in 12 hours yesterday. As suspected, under 5 layers of roofing was a rotten roof. 9/10's of the old roofing and wet wood are hauled away. Hubbys shop is wide open. I have taken pictures but am too nice to post on FB. He would have an anxiety attack. We will have plywood on by this afternoon and will have top coat of roofing on tomorrow morning. Then we will be waterproof. Thank goodness for a dry stretch of weather and the willingness to get it done.

Foodwise, doing great. I put in 4 days very restrictive last week and have taken great care since then. I'm down 7 and am feeling much better.

Still thinking about the .

Have a great day everyone!

Default Thankful Thursday July 28

Thankful for a worry-free sleep since I have a long day ahead with a trip to Ottawa for lunch with more "new" cousins.

I spent a thoughtful Wednesday evening thinking out the bat problem. I thought I'd shut it in the guest room in the early morning and Millie confirmed it with a lot of sniffing later in the morning. I closed the door, opened the window and took off the screen. When it got dark, I guess it decided to go outside and forage for skeeters. This morning Millie showed little interest in the room so I guess the visit is over. Whew!

Sure was hot yesterday and ten degrees hotter in town! I did find a top, brought it home and found it was just as long as the other one. It was cotton knit so I washed it in hot water, dried it in the dryer and it's now the right length. Two problems solved.

Trash pick-up day so I need to gather my contribution. We pay per bag and I seldom have a full bag but I do like to get the stuff outta here. It's also paper recycling and I certainly have a contribution to that after purging part of the Mill documentation before handing it over to the new Treasurer.

that is gone for good.

Good morning,

Heading into work have several meetings today. Tonight DH and I are going to see Rascal Flatts and I invited a couple of friends to join us since DD2 did not wish to go. Should be fun.

Debbie wow I am impressed with your roofing skills Way to go with staying op, I am also staying very strict since I wasn't this weekend for DD1 birthday and the scale is slowly moving back down.

Ruth fingers crossed that it is gone for good. Enjoy your lunch with your new cousins.

Have a great day everyone!
