Would you believe, I'm outta here very shortly for the Fair Hall? Despite a small t-storm overnight, we are still under an extreme heat warning. With the humidex, we were at 101ºF at 4 yesterday afternoon.

I have Dylan, the Fair's summer handy-student, working with me today pinning the schoolwork entries to the long wall. I hope he can cope with the non-macho task with the little push-pins because I sure can't with my arthritic hands. What doesn't get done today will have to be done Sunday as tomorrow is a milling day - we hope.

One more coffee, some quality time for the doggage and I'm outta here!

Thanks for getting us started, Ruth, and have a productive day! Stay inside and out of the heat.

Yesterday was a joyful day. My sister got results of her scan's and she is officially in remission. I picked a gallon of raspberries early which I will do again this morning. And lunch at the hospital then took a drive to Aspen. I will try to fit in the pool this morning. I didn't go yesterday. That's about it here.

Good morning and Happy Friday,

Last day of class for me today, won't be taking the test until next Wednesday as that was the first available time to test that worked for me so I will have to make sure I don't do a brain dump. It was nice out this morning for my walk 72 degrees, there sure were a lot of tree damage from the storm on Wednesday night.

Ruth hope you are able to stay cool today and hope you get everything up with your helpers help

Home at last. Dylan was a great help and we nearly finished all the sorting of the non-winners and gave them a "Thanks for participating ribbon" until we ran out. We need 61 more to finish the job. I guess I'll have to work that in somehow this weekend. The winners are all up on the wall - no ladder lugging with 6'4" Dylan on the team. The non-winners need to go up too - our Fair displays everything, win or lose

Crazy week as there have been (and still are) all kinds of bumps in the "move the parents" plan. With any luck we will get it done in the next few weeks. Luckily I have 4 siblings and we all still talk to each other.

Debbie, I picked a quart of blueberries from our bushes yesterday and there are still more coming. Your berry picking is impressive! Is this on your own property?

Ruth, the storms missed us yesterday. We could use the rain! Good work on the artwork job.

Pearlrose, glad the class went well. DS1 was at an OSHA safety training all week for his new job. He was happy the presenter made it relevant.
