... and we are still in the extreme heat warning. I'm certainly glad I stayed inside most of yesterday. I did manage to catch up on a few household niggles, including finally putting a new bulb in the upstairs hall light fixture.

There is a Mill Executive meeting this morning and I am delighted to not be there for a change. The signing authority has not yet been switched over to the new executive - our bank is slow! - so I will probably be doing payroll this Sunday - for the last time. Slowly, slowly the mountains of paperwork in my house are melting and trickling over to Sharon's house around the corner.

Garbage pick-up is today so I'd better scurry and gather up my contribution. I suspect pick-up will be earlier because of the heat.

Ruth, thanks for getting us started! Yes, our group has gotten quite small. committed to keep posting. My daily check-in really does help me stay focused on healthy eating even if I rarely talk about it. South Beach certainly changed my life and I still follow the principles. Enjoy your meeting free day. LOL

Enjoying my coffee in Glenwood this morning! We met up with my sister at the pool last night and it was midnight night by the time I went to bed. Problem is I can't ever sleep in even if I try. My friend is going to meet a guy at the pool at 10 and my sister has treatment this morning so I've decided to stay home. I'm going to pick raspberries, dig weeds and putter around. Lunch at the hospital and that might be just about it.

Good morning!

Took a much needed computer vacation!!! Joe and I went to spend time with the Amish. Always makes me feel better and helps renew my faith in mankind. I absolutely love Pennsylvania if it was only a tad warmer in winter with less snow I could retire there. We met a really nice wood worker. Joe is placing an order with him today for the living room end tables. I bought a few little goodies for myself. We will not discuss my food indiscretions lol. Back on track quickly as not to undue my hard work this month.

Ruth hope the heat breaks quickly. We are living in a sauna here too. Glad to be off this week.

Debbie I am the same way! Doesn't matter what time I go to bed, my internal alarm has me up around 5:30 each day. Sleeping until 7 is like sleeping the day away.

Good morning,

Well the storm last night knocked out power lines so we were without power for a couple of hours. Thought I might have to go into work today . We do have a portable generator but I like to give it a bit before going crazy and dragging it out so glad we didn't have to use.

Today is class and then another conference call right afterwards.

Ruth hopefully the bank will get it done this week so you can be done.
