Early good morning from lovely cool Delta.

We were deluged with an inch of rain late yesterday afternoon and the temperature dropped really quickly. Very strange! We did get a 1/2 inch of much needed rain but I'm not sure if that's enough to save the crops. We need about three days of soft rain instead of a "gully-buster" but I'll take it.

I'm off for an overdue oil change this morning. So glad my garage guy is an earlybird. I'm there by 7 and home by 8 and then I can decide on my day. I'm in a bit of a hiatus at the moment as the schools won't have the Fair entries tagged and ready for pick-up until tomorrow although last school day is today. It'll be a Road Runner Ruthie morning - then I spend the long weekend sorting into classes ready for judging.

Since it's also a Milling Weekend I should probably just sleep today!

What are your plans for our mutual long weekend? Things will be busy here since Canada Day is the 1st and then there's USA Independence Day so we celebrate for four days.

Pearlrose, I hope you made it home with all those flight delays! Looks like you had a great trip! I have been to Disneyland once but would love to go back.

Enjoying coffee on the porch watching the hummingbirds and listening to the songbirds sing. It looks like beautiful day here. I think we get some rain tomorrow afternoon. I'm headed to Glenwood today with my friend who has a medical appointment along the way. We are going to soak in the pool, have lunch with my sister, check out a couple of places she's wanted to see and head back over. She has a doggy that can't overnight with anyone. So, I am going to mow the lawns while we are over. It should be a fun day. She's driving so I get to relax.

We have cool this morning also. Cyndi, since you asked, we had some torrential downpours yesterday but the worst of the wind and hail missed us. We certainly needed the rain but that's a rough way to get it! Guess I don't have to water the garden today.

Pearlrose, welcome home and hope you got your sleep in.

Ruth, hope your oil change went well. I ended up waiting longer than expected for my tires yesterday but I am glad it is done.

Today is still pretty cloudy so I may try to do a bit of indoor cleaning and get some groceries. But first,

Good morning,

Got home at 3 a.m. this morning, did get a tiny bit of shut eye on the plan so 6 hours of sleep was good for me. I already got laundry going and cleaned the house this morning. Just sat down to eat breakfast and then I am off to go get groceries. It was a wonderful trip.

Ruth sounds like you have a lot of running around to do for the fair.

Debbie enjoy your time with your friend. I like Disneyland better than Disneyworld.

Beth hope you get your cleaning and grocery shopping done today.
