Good morning from beautifully cool Delta! I lugged the trash to the curb at 5 this morning and did wear a light jacket over my nightie. Such a lovely time of the year and I'm glad I wake early to enjoy it. It's not so great in the cold dark depths of December.

The sub-contractor didn't show yesterday so I will give him a major nudge today. I don't have to be here when the guys are working but like to know what's going on since they sometimes need to shut off the power. Today I plan to be around but will move my car out of the lane so I won't be blocked in if they do show. (The elusive tags for the Fair schoolwork should be here today and, if so, I'll be Ruthie Roadrunner delivering them to the schools in the county! Our schools close next Tuesday and Fair entries have to be tagged and picked up by Wednesday at the latest.)

My adorable wee furry friend Milo is doing well. Liz had him out on the grass up the Hill when I started up and he WALKED down to meet me. She has been carrying him since the surgeon said he might not be able to handle walking since his back surgery - 6 discs fused. The little guy came down to me and had a good petting. I cried! There was no way he could climb back up but both Liz and I were delighted. Rehab for dogs to follow. He and Jazz are pals so we'll see about some yard time over the weekend.

Time for coffee #2 and some meal plans for the day - too much grab and go lately but I have avoided the chip truck at the corner.

Thankful for the weather and the beautiful part of the world I live in.

I am thankful for the lovely morning as well and the beginning of my summer break. Ruth, I didn't know your schools were still in session until next week.today I will start with a list of yard work and see where the day takes me. We are going back to 90* this weekend.

My girlfriend and I headed out of town at 6:15 this morning headed down to Home Depot and Lowe's to get supplies. Now I am sitting waiting for her to go talk to the guy who is painting her old Porsche. It's very old, I forget the year. She bought it new and it's been sitting in her garage for 10 years.

The weather is not cooperating for this roof checked I am frustrated. We will go uncover it from the rain the side and see how it's drying. We did get all the insulation pulled out yesterday and the damages that is great like we thought so that's a good thing.

If we can't work for a while I think I am going to go home and do nothing.
