Last day to go into work this week, but today is a retreat so won't be too bad, we are going to have food that is op so all is good. Now if this heat wave would break it would be great

What is happening in your neck of the woods?

Good morning, Pearlrose! Today I go to a neighboring school to grade the science state exam we administered yesterday. It will be a long day but at least I like the people I will be with.

We are having a run of sunny and warm weather right now; quite a pleasant change from last weekend! I have prioritized getting in a hour of garden time the last couple of days. I'm not sure if I was late or the weather too cool but I am just now going to be able to pick some radishes and lettuce. I am SO excited about garden veggies.

Pearlrose, it's nice when work event food is op. With school ending there were lots of kids bringing in sweets and I just flexed my no muscle.

Thinking of Tammy and hoping her recovery is going well.

Debbie, safe travels to Kirk!

Got to go. Today I vow to remember to be thankful for all my blessings.

Good morning we have light rain at the moment, but temps are only in the 60's. The weather has been lovely here all week.

Pearlrose doesn't it make it easier when food is OP. A very appreciative gentleman bought us a box of Joe and a dozen doughnuts for helping him get his cell phone. He dropped it on the tracks. I was a good girl and stuck to coffee.....unfortunately last night a bag of flavored peanuts called my name lol. Weight was the same today phew!

Pearlrose when is your last official day before summer break starts?

I'm staying home before work due to the rain, but will find something to do. I think Sunday I maybe joining Joe and his kids for Father's Day. Rachel, his oldest, wants to take him kayaking. Father's Day really doesn't mean anything to me. I did remind DS about it. Maybe one of these days he'll find time to visit with his mom. I haven't seen him since Mother's Day. Oh well at least he calls, so I'm thankful for that.

Have a great day

Yes, thankful Thursday and Michelle comes to clean! It's nice to get primped up for the weekend. I'm late checking in because I had tidying to do and the bed to strip. Karen just returned my Dyson - in the nick of time because M arrives at 11. (She is getting into the habit of borrowing dear Dyson every weekend and forgetting to bring him back on Monday. Time for a nudge!)

We are supposed to get a string of decent weather - probably to make up for our "nearly winter" last weekend. My front garden is still looking great, if I do say so myself, but the raised veggie bed is still a work in progress. Moel bought the stuff to fix the other three sides which means the earth will be moved. Oh well! I can plant beans until August 1 but ... I keep reminding myself that I can get lovely fresh veggies locally but my farmer genes are strong this time of year.

The dogs are whining to go out into the yard which means their pal Milo is coming for a visit. Smart dog comes the back way rather than by road, has a visit with my two, sometimes gets a treat and then goes home the way he came the minute I tell him "Go home"!

On with thankful Thursday!

Morning chicks!

Hope all are well. Doing a fly-by as it's a super busy day at work. About 50% of the way there on healing so hoping to be at 100% by the weekend (wishful thinking???).

Welcome back Cyndi!!! Hope you enjoy being back on the beach. Please ask questions as a lot of members are currently maintaining. The recipe section is a great resource for keeping meals from getting boring.... I tend to get in ruts lol.

Jenne glad to see you checking in missed you being here. I can't believe your cruise is right around the corner!!!!

Hello! Kirk got off on his trip. He will land in Homer Alaska at 5:15 this afternoon. I made the trip to Glenwood now I am waiting for my friend to finish an appointment. We still haven't got stuff packed up I hope it doesn't take too long. We did go peruse the area.

It's pretty hot here and it's making me feel tired. I suppose a coffee for the way back will help. See you all tomorrow.

Good afternoon

pearlrose. Nice that you will have op food. Makes it easier.

Jen. If ds calls means he's thinking of you

Beth. I just love radish3s from the garden. They are so different than storebought.

ruth. Nice of you to lend out your dyson. I keep looking at them.

jen take care of yourself.

cindy. Welcome back

debbie. Hope your drive back is safe and quick

today I am grateful for my neighbor who is an appliance repairman. My oven wouldn't start and I already made the cake. He replaced an ignitor in 20 minutes. All my flowers were bought at costco pre potted this year. I'm not allowed to bend so dh is in charge of weeding which means the torch.
Take care
Sophie
