It's a hump day and a day off. Kirk leaves tomorrow I need to get him to the airport early. He will be gone for At least two months. He's going to work on our place and his cousins. This cousin is the one he went to Denmark with.

He has a bunch of niggles and I think I will work on them first. I will move on to my list. My tentative plan is to go to Glenwood after I drop him off at the airport. I have several things there. I need to get the lawns mowed. I believe my friend Lori is going to come back with me. She has finally finished most of her treatments and has a two week stretch she could be away. My plan is to hire her for house cleaning here. She wants to work and hasn't found anything new in Glenwood yet. On our list over there is to go into our friend Susan's house and pack up her entire kitchen. She got news from her doctor last week that she cannot travel to altitude for at least another year so she needs to move out of her apartment and can't be there to help. I haven't decided if I will take the big vehicle and just all of her boxes back over or store them at my house and bring them back a few at a time.

It looks like a lovely day here. I need to get my timers set up for watering this yard and will do the same when I get to Glenwood tomorrow. I do love summer.

Have a great day everyone!

Happy Hump day,

3rd day in office for me today, did run into a snag yesterday, salary planning for hourly staff has opened up in our HR system and my new job was effective on Sunday so I lost all my direct reports which means I can not see the salary merits to be able to approve, oops! Today me and my supervisors will still go ahead with their portion and then we will contact HR to see how to get my portion approved.

Lots of meetings but nothing on the agenda this evening.

Debbie that is nice of you to help pack of your friends apt since she is not able to

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Happy Hump Day, indeed!

Would you believe I slept until 7 this morning? Must be the relief of no longer being stuck in the Mill Treasurer's position. There will still be some transitioning things I need to do but that'll be minor and Sharon is keen to take over the whole position as soon as possible.

The only thing on today's schedule is pet therapy BUT ... Karen's gorgeous daughter Robyn popped in almost in tears yesterday for help with her prom dress. There's nothing wrong with it except it's about 6" too long. Of course "grandma" Ruth can fix it. It's actually not too difficult as the tulle overskirt is not hemmed, just cut. I plan to do the "underskirt" this morning and we'll then mark the overskirt and just cut it to length.

Now I'll start my retirement with another coffee. Back in a bit.
