Today...I get my hair cut for the first time in....maybe a year? I'm not sure anymore! It's about to my bra strap, I'm probably getting it cut to mid neck length. Since I'm not working, I don't have to worry about it constantly falling in my face and I need something easier - I will have it layered since it is SO thick and kind of frizzy. Gotta love getting older.

I have to drop the black bean salad off at a neighbor's on my way for the teachers. After that, a few niggles to get ready for the weekend. My pounds are starting to creep back up, so I *guess* I need to be better about planning and sticking on plan. Especially with DH having to do it. He's SO miserable eating healthy. I don't feel *too* bad for him, since he's eating how most people have to eat most of their lives, and I'm sure you chicks understand! He even ran to Sam's last night to pick up cashews for a healthy low carb snack to keep him full. DUH! I should've told him to get more hummus, we both love the pine nut from sabra.

It looks beautiful out right now (it is SO GREEN!!), but I believe the rain is rolling in. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning I think. Been running crazy this week and can't tell if I am coming or going lol. But today I am officially on vacation whoop hooo. Just wish the rain woukd taper off as I haven't ridden outside once this week. Today I'll start getting into panic mode for Monday. Maybe my panic will force me to clean the house. I've been eating in the run most of the week, but have been been making smart choices. Still under goal which makes me a happy girl on a rainy day.

Tammy hope you like your new do. With my curls I can go a long time between cuts. I do trim my own bangs. Hope everyone enjoys the bean salads mmmm

I need to go read the posts I've missed this week. Hope to be back later

It's National Puppy Day here and it's Freud's birthday! (Pavlov's birthday would be better on Puppy Day!) Then Mother's day on Sunday! I hope I can handle the excitement.

We have a lovely start to the day with sunshine and normal spring temperatures. I plan to get out there for a while and tackle some simple and easy gardening tasks. I'm trying hard to pace myself these days as I still have aches and pains from my encounter with the darn treadmill last month. The good news is that I am able to sleep through the night lately!

The trilliums are in bloom in the woods right now so it's definitely spring, soon to be followed by redbud and wild plum. I am going into the woods when I can but am letting people know when I go, taking my phone and using my walking stick, aka my cane. I really should take pictures with my phone since it's so lovely although the little black flies are starting up.

I am still not eating properly. I need a cook! Next rainy day I'll make and freeze Taco Bake servings but I also need to stock up on veggies ... and cut out the wine and Scotch! It's summer clothing time soon and I know some of my 14's will be snug in the butt.

Good thing I checked my calendar as I have to be at the Town Hall at 11 for the Annual Fire Extinguisher inspection. Sure hope I can handle the excitement! I live in exciting times - not!

Good morning and Happy Friday!

The movie was great last night, surprised that the theater was not packed for opening night. Long movie though it started at 7 and we got done at 9:44 p.m.

Today is finally a wfh day this week and I am taking advantage by working on reports and I do have laundry going as I have a mountain since this was my only wfh day this week.

Was supposed to have a bowling event but it was canceled due to the staff organizing didn't think they needed to reserve lanes and the place booked an event. Free's up an evening though DD2 wanted to go bowling so I might just take her anyways by ourselves.

Twynn I normally get my hair got at 8 weeks, I am pushing it this time so had to cut my own bangs but want to time for the next cut so that it still looks good in June when we go to CA.

Jekel whewhoo for vacation enjoy, does the ride start on Monday?

Ruth glad you are getting in walks in the woods, I remember the little black flies from when I lived in Maine, if they are the same type if you didn't cover your head they would bite and you would bleed. I used to play softball with a hoodie so I could put it over my head in the summer time.

Have a wonderful time everyone!

Happy Friday.

My morning routine was interrupted as DH wanted to help me in the yard. I had to just go, since his motivation to do that comes and goes. LOL We spent half hour digging grass and hauling. Then sat and had coffee. I was filthy and just kept working. Came in for a shower now it's 1pm.

Kirk is sleeping, still recovering from trip. I don't know if we will do anything later. I'm going to have a nap, too.

Yesterday we went to Costco for 5 more bags of soil and pick up new mini-tiller. My old one wasn't worth fixing. We had to order the edger attachment. Too bad that's what I really wanted to do right now.

Tammy, thanks for getting us started this morning!

to all!

Good afternoon, chicks! A busy week is wrapping up and we should have nice weather tomorrow so I will get to work outside. yeah! I might finally get the lettuce planted.

Tammy, the parents brought in lunch for the teachers at my school yesterday too. I had a black bean salad that sounds like your recipe and a yummy eggplant and zucchini lasagna. (we won't talk about dessert)

Ruth, I saw some trout lilies on my walk today.

Jennifer, yeah for vacation!

Have a great evening, chicks.

It's a Friday evening fly by Busy day, crazy week, now on to the weekend! Tomorrow we go birding, Sunday we garden between raindrops.

Tammy - pictures? I had mine cut last Saturday from well below shoulder to the bottom of my ears. I am so happy it's gone!

Now to relax on the porch before an early bedtime.
