Default Marvellous Monday April 18

Whew! We had the best Syrup Festival ever! The weather brought folks out in droves and the Village was humming until around 6 last night. I spent most of the day out serving pancakes, doing Mill tours and generally talking up folks. Home sure felt good last night. Karen came over and we tackled her taxes and she left at 8:30 without drinking wine to celebrate!

Busy day again today but not starting off with gymn. I am now at the purple bruise stage of healing and am very sore - maybe Wednesday? We'll see.

Mill Board Exec meeting at 9:30 this morning followed by rearranging of the Hall tables for the next event which is lunch for a busload (55) of folks coming to see the architecture of the Mill on April 27. I am completely in charge of that event since events co-ordinator Katherine will be in Italy. This afternoon we'll meet to go over details.

And then ... a 7:30 meeting tonight to create and fine-tune a presentation we Anglicans will make to Council May 2 re the future of our old (1810) Church, We are considering re-purposing it for theatre and music events.

I'm pretty sure I'll be "kept off the streets and outta the pool hall" today! Coffee will help!

Good morning,

Into work day today, I predict a crazy day today so I am mentally preparing myself as I go in. The ballgame was great yesterday and such a beautiful day, our seats were in the shade so no sunburn.

Ruth whew your day yesterday and today sound exhausting. Glad you had a great turnout

Have a great day everyone!

My goodness Ruth!!! I think life in Delta is busier than NYC!!! Quite a week yet again for you!!! Glad your bruises are starting to heal.

Debbie I know we have never seen that kind of snow here. WOW!!! Glad it is melting quickly.

Nichole I hope your injections goes well today. Maybe the change in eating healthier will help you not to feel so terrible afterwards. Do you go monthly?

Had a really nice Sunday. Spent some quality time with Joe and my bike. The bike and I are meeting with one of our new riders for a ride at Harriman State Park. He is still learning. This is a good safe place to practice. I did get lost on my ride yesterday, but boy did I see some beautiful houses.....and hills ugh. Later today is just the norm getting prepared for another week of work.

Merry Monday to all!

Good morning -

Ruth - I am glad you had a fun weekend. Take it easy today, purple bruised stage does not sound fun at all.

Jennifer - Bike riding sounds great. I have not done that since I was a teenager.

I am a barrel of nerves this morning. I get these injections every 3 months and never seems easier. I only lost a pound last week I was hoping for more since the first week in Phase 1 I lost 6.5. As long as the scale is moving down though I should not complain. Today and the next few days will be rough. I am going to try not to force myself to eat as that is when I get very sick. I am just going to go with the flow knowing next week is a new week and if I need this week as a crackers and diet soda week healthwise I have to do it. Hopefully the healthy eating works though and I don't get such a bad reaction.

Have a great day !

Good morning!

I need to get moving here. Just enjoying my last cup of coffee. 25° right now I think it is supposed to warm up and get the snow melting. I think Kirk is already to go for his trip. I need to push the button and file my taxes when I get home.

Nicole, best wishes on your injection today. Hoping you feel OK this time around.

Have a great day everyone!

Hey there, chicks! Somehow Monday mornings are always busy, and this morning was no exception. I was pleased that in spite of spending the whole weekend outside raking and such I was not too sore. Work was fine and now it's time to make some dinner for DH and I.

Ruth, hope you heal quickly.
Pearlrose, the game sounds like fun!
Jennifer, hope your day was productive.
Nichole, thinking of you today. If you have to live on diet soda and crackers, go ahead. SB is supposed to be a way of life, not a quickie diet; make adjustments as you need.
Debbie, is the snow gone? Glad to know I'm not the last one to "push the button" and file!

Looking forward to another sunny day tomorrow.
