Wishful for two reasons - it's freakin' cold out there (30 degrees), and I had to defrost my car to take my daughter to choir practice. I did go in my PJ's though . Wish it was warmer, Mother Nature sure is confused this year!

And my DH was eating his soft boiled eggs this AM (Peee-Uuuuuu!), and he said to step outside, it smells better. Stepped outside to warm the car up, and it was fresh skunk smell! PEEEEE-UUUUUUUU! Wish it didn't stink so bad out there!

I have a bunch of niggles today, and just started the red beans and rice going. Mmmmmmmm.

Happy Hump Day!

Good morning Tammy. Your hubby is a funny guy!!! lol It's bright and still brisk here too, but looks like the next few days will be beautiful.

Beth I will definitely Google it, thank you.

Nicole is TOM effecting your mood? I know I get three very weepy days per month right before. I'm not myself and really struggle to stay OP. I tend to graze those days too even when I have healthy food on hand. I agree with Beth have something OP to help if you are hungry. I hope today is a better day for you. As far as cooking once a month, that doesn't include breakfast or lunch. I am really routine with breakfast.Unless I make a smoothie every morning. Keeps me full until lunch so no need for a morning snack. My lunches in the winter usually consist of soup. I make big batches and freeze most of it. I'll make hard boiled eggs and have turkey with one. Nicer weather I eat more salads. I try to use spinach instead of lettuce as I find it lasts longer. The prep is the annoying part to me lol. If I make 4 things a month that I can freeze I have healthy choices on hand in the freezer. I live a lone so food really lasts around here lately. Also, if I defrost something there might me enough for 5 meals. I'm ok with eating the same thing for a week. I do much better when I limit my choices lol.

Today is the usual before work. I do need to get to HQ before 3:30 to get my new phone and parking permit. With the nice weather I am definitely walking. I do need to get my bag ready for Friday.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning, Tammy and sleeping (busy?) chicks.
Maybe Ruth is working hard at the gym!

Tammy, DH had to clean off my car this morning also. It wasn't really frost so much as rain that had turned to snow and frozen on. But the weather forecast says climbing temperatures and sunshine for the next 5 days! I may finally be able to get out in the yard and do some clean up. I have daffodils trying to come through the debris left from last fall. This is where having our spring break so early makes me whine. Maybe I will call in sick on the next sunny day.

Other than that, I'm wishing the weather really does turn. I would like to try to take a walk outside after work today.

Got to run! Wishing all the chicks a great Wednesday!

Good morning! Sorry for not checking in the last two days. I spend two days every two weeks at my office and those days I am completely exhausted. I tell my husband I’m peopled out! Anyone else ever feel that way?

Today is supposed to be a beautiful day (ahead of what might be a monster storm the weekend). I have a full day of work but thankfully will be at home. The weeds are already starting to take over my flower beds so I want to get out there after work and relocate them to their new home - just don’t tell them it’s the yard waste bin!

Tammy - I’ll try to push our warm weather your way!!
Jennifer - I’m with you on limiting choices. It seems like if I stray too far from my old standbys it shows up on the scale.
Beth - What a sweet DH!! I hate it when it starts as rain and then freezes! I hope you get your walk in!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Hugs,

Rene aka gabby

Good morning,

Tammy -Your husband sounds funny. Skunk is far worse then eggs in my opinion yuck!

Jennifer - I think it is a combo of TOM and my grandmother has been sick. My default has always been to binge when I am stressed. I am happy I am not doing it and hoping that default goes away. Unfortunately with being out of work I am only able to buy essentials so not much snack options in the house. Last night was so bad I just sat and cried. I thought I was going crazy !

Earlier this week I bought some seeds for tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, basil, cilantro and a few other herbs. It is finally sunny here so I think I might start planting today. I will start them indoors anyway but doesn't seem right to plant in the rain.

Today I will be going to a friends place for dinner and we are ordering in. I will get a salad and ask for oil and vinegar on the side and pick out the stuff I cannot eat. I'm not sure about the rest of the day for food yet. It will be whatever I have in the house that works. I need to shop again soon.

Hope today is a good one for everyone !

Good morning,

We got a call late last night that my FIL fell out of a tree and he was taken to the hospital last night, waiting to talk to my MIL this morning to find out what is going on and whether DH needs to go to Texas. DH talked to his brother last night so we are not sure of all of the details, but a 73 should not be in a tree.

Tywnn ewww I hate skunk smell

Jekel enjoy the nice weather, we are starting to warm up a bit as well

Beth we had frost on the cars this morning as well

Gabby enjoy your day

Nicole you might want to try some yoga for stress, if you go to youtube and search for yoga with adrienne she has some good gentle yoga that really helps to calm (at least it works for me)

Have a wonderful day

Nicole hope your grandma is doing better. Remember no shame in crying. I seem to do it on a weekly basis. Enjoy your time with your friend tonight

Beth I feel the same way. Seems to rain on my days off.

Good news, even though FIL had some bleeding at the back of the head the doctors think he will be released tomorrow. I think he got more of a concussion. Thank goodness that was a lot of stress relieved when we heard. He is step dad to my DH but has been a real grandpa to my kids on my DH side and we love him to pieces.

Wow! Quick check-in and see lots is happening! I slept in until 6 this am and got thrown off a malfuntioning treadmill. Feeling pretty sore and bruised and am going to get my right shoulder checked out at the Clinic when Jazz and I go for per therapy this afternoon. So much for working on your health!

Pearlrose - Glad your fil is ok. I will check out some yoga I swear I am an anxious mess.

Jennifer - I haven't been able to talk to my grandmother in 3 days because every time I call there is a nurse or therapist there. I used to talk to her daily and its driving me bonkers.

Ruth - That sounds like it hurts. Good luck in therapy.

Good evening It's nice to see it so busy around here

Ruth - That's awful! Glad you are getting it checked out. It confirms every bad thing I've ever said about exercise Hope some heat and a glass of something are helping tonight.

Rose - glad the news is good.

Not much going on here. We are counting down to my vacation week and our spring trip to Gloucester. In the meantime, I've got a lot of gardening and yard stuff to get done.

We made it through Hump Day!
