Hi All!!! I am not sure if I am posting in the correct place so please bear with me, I am new. My name is Lyn. I am 59 years old and desperately need to lose about a hundred pounds. I have tried everything and I can't honestly say nothing worked because I haven't stuck to anything to even be able to tell. I hope this site will help me find the way as I am getting so tired of being this heavy.

Looking forward to getting motivated and making some new friends, both of which I desperately need!!

Hi Lyn! Welcome to 3FC! I have lost over 50# over the last year or so following the South Beach Diet. There is a really good support group and lots of information in the SBD group here on 3FC. I'm not sure what sort of diet you've tried in the past but I really like SBD because it's more of a way of healthy eating rather than dieting. If you love bread and pasta, it will be a shock to start this particular diet but you will definitely lose weight on it and then when you do have a bread or pasta treat it will taste so much better than it ever has.
