Fly-by post as I have gym at 7:30 followed by a day jam-packed with meetings and interviews. "I will survive!" and be back later to relax and read what's happening in normal lives!
Good morning Ruth and yet to arrive Beachers I'm not sure I qualify as normal, still have the flu but going in to work because they are testing this week and it would be a big problem if I'm not there. Good thing I can keep this at bay with some meds. Meanwhile, we have a winter weather advisory. That makes my day. I do sound like a cranky Monday person. Better clean-up that attitude asap! Maybe another cup of coffee will help. Can I get anyone one?
I will take the coffee. My first thought was made without beans since I had an empty hopper. Just a bunch of hot water. I went back to bed for a while. LOL
I'm just taking it easy this morning. Kirk is in Glenwood and comes back tomorrow and I'll have to hop back into family mode.
Work was OK yesterday except that we were down to one computer. It meant that all three waitresses and cashier had to use the one computer by the kitchen. It was a lot of extra running for me, which I can't exercise. The good news is that now they have to fix it. It's a super old system. The only choice is totally brand-new which means I will get a computer clear in the back room which will make my life so much easier in the future.
I came home and forced myself out into the yard because it was super beautiful. I did a bunch of grass out of the beds and later when I was upstairs doing nothing my neighbor came to Haul away a bunch of wood. I love that he takes it. It saves me a lot of work.
I will have some procrastination chores after I get home but I will enjoy my coffee this morning.
Ruth, I hope your circuit at the gym is getting a bit easier.
Cyndi, I hope you make it through your work today not feeling too bad
Pearlrose, glad you had a nice weekend. Happy birthday to your mom.
I ordered a bunch of seats last night. Mostly sweet peas but some beans, bok choy and chard. I'm excited about that!
Cyndi hope you can manage a full day at work. Hope you feel better!
Debbie you certainly were productive yesterday. No outside plans here as we have snow again today. My poor daffodils are not happy. Your job definitely counts as exercise, aerobic and core strength!
Ruth hope the gym routine goes well today.
Pearlrose glad you enjoyed your weekend. Happy Birthday to your mom.
Yesterday I did mange to replace one of the sump pumps. I have two in the pit. One was completely dead, the other is dying lol. Dead one gone dying one will be today's project. Hopefully today's will be the easier of the two. Since I will be staying home today and tomorrow Coconut may get his spring clean up. I did finally watch Mommie Dearest last night. I recorded it ages ago on my DVR. She was something!!!! Tonight I will watch the NCAA final game. I think I am going for Villanova, the under dog, over NC. Otherwise clear liquid day number 2 and day 1 of yummy prep. I don't mind black coffee, but I do miss my smoothie. Lol the scale was down .6 from yesterday so that's a win in my book.
Hi Nicole looks like a great healthy way to start P1. You might feel flu like around day 4. Beans helps for some reason. Planning is key. I tend to eat the same foods for a week, just easier for me. Raw veggies with hummus is one of my favorite snacks.
Thanks for the heads up Jennifer. I will get some hummus. Right now I am fighting a chocolate craving.
Can someone please help me. I bought 1% fat-free milk to use in coffee. I just went t use it and the label says it has 12g of sugars. How does milk have that much? The half and half my roommate uses has 1 gram of sugar. I used the half and half did I make the right choice?

Hey chicks! I didn't sleep well last night and so was moving a bit slowly this morning, so no time to post before I left. One of those nights where my brain wouldn't shut off. But I made it through the work day, got in my walk and now I can relax a bit.
Ruth, how did the gym go today?
Cyndi, we have grades 3-8 state tests this week also. Hope you made it through ok.
Jennifer, thinking of you and that delightful "diet" you are on. Chicken broth was a bit help to me.
Nicole, welcome and glad you are joining us. The cravings will get better, just be strong! As for the milk, there are natural sugars found in milk (lactose) so that is what you are seeing. The food lists suggest fat free half and half or milk.
Cold here last night and today. I don't think my crocus are very happy about it!
Back from a long hard day. Gym went well although I did not get the whole circuit done. Interviews went smoothly and we actually hired one candidate on the spot. We were very impressed by him and didn't want anyone else to grab him. None are scheduled for tomorrow - yet! I have my annual eye exam in town in the morning and may do a wee bit of shopping while I recover from the eye drops. That's the plan anyhow.
Right now I am ready to kick back, watch the news, cook something protein to have with salad and watch Judge Judy until bedtime!
