Default 30-Somethings Weekly Chat, Mar. 20-26

Hi chicks!

Last week wasn't too bad on the whole, although I didn't get as much done as I had hoped to. I don't know what my current weight is, as I didn't get on the scale at all last week. This week I'll work on reestablishing that habit. I hope you all had a good weekend and are looking forward to a good week!

souvenirdarling - TOM sucks. Sorry you were feeling rough.

lionessavc - Congrats on your weight loss! And on limiting yourself to one shot!

kiwi1222 - Hope you break through your plateau soon. Good job continuing to work at it though! Plateaus can be so discouraging. Boxing sounds very cool, how long have you been doing that?

Thanks. Sadly, I was up 0.1 lbs over the entire week as Friday and Saturday were beer and pizza nights in my house. It was our cheat days and we definitely cheated. Back on the band wagon though. Tonight, I did 2.38 miles on the elliptical on Fat Burn and it was actually pretty easy for me to do. We also added the bike into the routine so I am way ahead of my mileage goal for the month. Next month will be more difficult as our son is having surgery and will be in the hospital for 3 days (April 7th-10th) and I will be at the hospital with him as he is only 2 years old. So I am not expected much in the way of weight loss that week. Here's to a good week for everyone!!

Theox - A break from the scale is ok sometimes. Good job on keeping at being mindful!

MamaAngel - You are rockin that fitness! I am so very sorry to hear bout your 2 yr old going to the hospital. We have a 7 yr old and when he was 5 he had to have a surgery, it was just a day surgery but I cried the whole day and am getting that yucky feeling in my stomach just thinking about it. Our little ones are so precious to us. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

So I had a good weekend with fitness and calorie wise. I woke up on Saturday with another 2 lbs loss and stayed at 282 yesterday as well. I really got the urge to drink on Saturday, but the cards didn't lay out right to make that happen so I just saved those empty calories for another weekend. Then yesterday I wanted pizza, we ordered some and I stayed within my calories. Up 1.2 lbs of water retention today. Plan is to keep drinking that water and have a good workout at lunch. Here's to a productive week everyone!!

Lion:

Our son was diagnosed in January 2014 with Chiari Malformation and underwent surgery on May 9, 2014 to remove a piece of the bone at the base of his skull. Sadly, he is having to have that bone removed again as it grew back. We are looking at having to go through this every year or two until he's at least 11.

Down 0.6 lbs today to put me at 24 lbs total lost and 9 lbs for the month

Down 0.9 lbs this morning for a total loss so far this month of 9.9 lbs...only 6.1 lbs to go for my second goal this month

Mama - That must be a tough thing to have to deal with. I applaud you for not letting it get in the way of your decision to get healthier. Look at you go with those losses, that is awesome!

For me, my water retention went down and I am down another pound. I am 281.4! I started at 309 on February 1st after previously losing 50 lbs 4 years ago and gaining it back plus 9. I am so close to 280, I feel I can reach out and touch it.

I am up 0.7 lbs from my weight on Wednesday but I blame the beer and pizza along with no workout for 2 days. I am back on the wagon again and will try to not fall off for a longer time period.
