Default Monday, Coffee Is Ready!

... and it's not Keurig! I did maintenance and am now back to a non-functional machine. I'm considering giving up because it's now been descaled and has a new water filter and nada. I've not given up yet but ... I need time to dig through the manual and online stuff.

So this mornings coffee is made in the drip pot!

Spent a fairly relaxing weekend doing hand sewing and even two kitchen drawers. Sure is interesting to find unused gadgets I thought I really needed like taco salad shell moulds, lemon zesters (2), a tiny mortar and pestle and thee(!) potato mashers. I think the last time I did mashed was 2008. I also cobbled together a financial report for today's meeting.

Now I am going to hand write my report since this new accounting software will not let me do a print without doing a bunch of initialization stuff first. I'll figure that out later.

On a more upbeat note, I just checked tonight's ham and it's spiral cut! That'll make dinner serving much easier. All I have to do is do the veggies, make sure the ham gets into the oven and set the table!

It's Monday and we are two weeks closer to spring!

Good morning!

Good morning Ruth! Thanks for getting the coffee ready and for getting us started here this morning! It sounds like your weekend went pretty good. Relaxing. I, too, am counting down the weeks closer to spring.

I promptly fell asleep after work yesterday. It was quite busy. I woke up and did some stuff around 830 last night so I didn't have to do it this morning. I slept in but have the recycle ready to take with me to the Big tin at work All I need to do is pack my lunch and head out.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning Ruth and cold chicks sleeping in lol. Thankfully the temperature is supposed to rise tonight. I too find little gadgets and say why did I buy that lol. Over the years I have gotten really good at keeping things I actually use.

Made progress yesterday. Ceiling painted, ceiling fan installed on the first try (usually I have a lose connection somewhere and need two attempts lol) Walls prepped, need to sand two big hole repairs. Had to cut out a piece of Sheetrock which I hate doing taping ugh! Even got one wall primed. Today I will work on it until 4 then I must do my stuff here. Yesterday by 5 I was a sore mess. Guess I'm not as young as I used to be.

Cyndi woukd you share your peanut butter pie recipe? PB and dark chocolate are my two favorites.

Have a great day!

Good morning, chicks! No school today as it is President's Day and the start of my mid-winter break. It seems like all the breaks are early this spring semester; this one, then Easter is super early as well. At least the temperature is supposed to get above zero today, unlike the last 2 days.

Jennifer, what a productive day you had yesterday!! I am very impressed with your talents since I would be inclined to play damsel in distress and find someone to do it for me. Hope you make lots of progress today.

Debbie
, have a good day at work. I'm anxious for spring but at least the daylight is getting noticeably longer

Ruth, I would almost be afraid to empty my kitchen drawers and see how many duplicate items I have. I figure as both of my boys set up housekeeping in the next year or two I will clean house and stock their kitchens. And while technology is supposed to make life easier it can be super frustrating as well. Last night I was doing schoolwork and Office on my laptop was going wonky on me. I finally turned on my old computer to finish.

Today might be a BJS run, not sure yet. If not I should certainly do some cleaning. But first, more of that coffee!

Good morning DH is off to work and I am vegging until the house warms up (3 hours and counting!). I have a long list for the week ahead, so can't waste too much time. Today I'm off to visit a friend I haven't seen since my last week off and then the chiropractor for an adjustment. In between I want to get some cleaning done.

Jennifer - I made this recipe. It could be SBD compliant with some modifications, but I just opted for portion control. It is delicious.

Hope you are staying warm today!

Beth, I'm seriously considering reconnecting the old PC! However, the printing crisis is over for now. I sent my report - all three pages as an email attachment - to my friend Anna who was able to print it off and made me 15 collated and stapled copies. (She is 86, went to the gym for an hour and is now putting out the usual goodies for the 9:30 meeting at her house.) I want to be Anna when I grow up.

Good morning,

We got about 3 inches of snow yesterday perfect excuse to stay home and in my pj's all day. I did rip up the rest of the carpet so now we are on to next stage of getting all the nails up and sanding the floor. There is not the much sanding that needs to be done other than near the walls so I may start out with my handheld sander I used for the back deck and then play it by ear if I need to go rent the big one. This will not be done today lol

I am wfh today and do have PT appointment, I am so much better I am sure Wednesday will be last appt when I get another re-eval done.

Ruth sorry your keurig is still giving you troubles. I need to de clutter some of kitchen cabinets as well, that will be on the to do list after the rest of the projects I am working on.

Debbie glad you were able to get some rest yesterday

Jekel you accomplished a lot yesterday, I feel it the day after so that is why I am trying to slow down and not try to do everything all at once.

Beth enjoy your day today, too bad your break couldn't come with warmer weather

Cyndi I think I shared your recipe on FB so I could have it on my wall to try later otherwise I can never find them again lol

Have a great day everyone!
