Thanks, Cyndi and Beth. I'll enjoy mine in my cozy house while you two trudge off to educate the youth of America.
Had a great birthday yesterday, Michelle got all the Christmas stuff upstairs while I was lunching with Doug and Claire. I had mussels done with sundried tomatoes and it was absolutely delicious. I was home by 4 (long lunch) and decided not to go to Ben's presentation. I really should not drive at night and did not know anyone who could offer me a ride.
This morning I get a new dryer! My old one doesn't owe me anything. I bought it in a used furniture store in 1985. It looked completely new and the guy said it had belonged to his wife but took way too long to dry clothes. I quietly checked it out and the lint catcher was solidly plugged - looked like felt! Bought it for 50 bucks, cleaned out the lint and it worked until this fall when it decided to keep running when I opened the door. I hope the new one lasts as long!
So this morning, I'll do some tidying in the laundry area which is a wide closet in my kitchen. If the excitement is over by noon, I may finally drive to town to get some binding fabric for the second last quilt I have to do this month.
TGIF, Chickies. Wishing you "southerners"

a happy MLK long weekend.
