Default TGIF Friday on the Beach, Jan 8

I'm up! Coffee is ready!

I had to look and make sure it was Friday. It is. That means I have one last day before I head back to work. Oh well.
I've been doing some cleaning this morning which I believe to be avoidance of paperwork. LOL I have a meeting in Denver at noon and it's snowing out so by the time I get back there won't be much left of this day. I think I'll have another cup of coffee and watch the snowfall. I will get to the paperwork before I leave this morning. LOL

Have a great Friday everyone!

Watching the snow fall while sipping coffee sounds amazing, Debbie! I hope your last day off has smooth sailing. At least working a Saturday has good tips, right?!

Darned it, saw the surgeon yesterday and we've scheduled surgery on my shoulder Feb 2nd. Well, he gave me a choice, but I might as well do it while I'm off work, then to get another job when I recover from this spinal cord cr@p, then take off time from a new job, right?! I was hoping 2016 would have a better start, but oh well...

Today I think I'm going to make apple pie moonshine as a gift for the ladies that drive my DD to school. I realized they're all drinkers and would greatly appreciate it, even over my famous pumpkin bread . I don't drink much, but this stuff is GOOD. I think they'll like it A LOT, and it will make up for a gift after the holidays .

Have a great Friday, ya'll!!

Good morning Debbie and Beachers yet to arrive Sounds like DH's schedule, I'm counting down to the weekend while he is enjoying his "weekend" on Wednesday and Thursday.Hope the driving isn't too bad.

Not much going on here. It's Friday Date Night. We started to fall into the lazy habit of calling it Date Night but not actually doing anything. We've rebooted and are actually heading out after a walk with the dog. First though I have to get through the day with the not so little people.

I told DH he deals with stress like a girl. We've been rebooting our eating but I came home yesterday and discovered a bag of GF bagels in the fridge and an open chocolate bar. He was putting his new plow together and it was stressful Oh well, 2 steps forward and one back still ends up further ahead. Doesn't mean I need to eat that stuff either.

Time to get moving. Happy Friday!

Crowded in here this morning. I "slept in" until 6:20 for a change - a nice change after the past week of 2 a.m. potty calls.

Yesterday's plans sort of fell apart and I never did get to town. Maybe Saturday? I have meetings this morning and afternoon plus my Book Club tonight. I may skip Book Club since I was away when the books were given out so would have little to contribute.

Tammy, I sure hope the shoulder operation gives you relief. You sure need some good stuff to happen.

Dogs need to come in as they are barking up a storm - probably at a 95 pound squirrel at my neighbour's feeder.

Have a good Friday!

Tammy, sorry to hear about your surgery....like you really need more. DH has a long arm biceps tear and refuses surgery right now. It's not getting much better on it's own.

Ruth, yay for a sleep in!

Cyndi, enjoy your date night.

OK, I'm upstairs starting paperwork. Onward and upward.

Good morning never got here yesterday. But I did get to enjoy my walks between Penn and GCT yesterday. I'm actually feeling it in my knee today. When I got home last night, I actually watched TV with DS in his room. I feel like we just say hello and good bye most days. Like today lol. I am working a double today due to a "new initiative" at work. Keep your fingers crossed I am working from 3pm to 7 am plus my hour and twenty minute drive each way. Then back in Saturday at 3. I think I may be cranky Saturday lol

Beth who were you skyping with at 4am the other day?

Ruth sometimes you just need to stay home.

Debbie bicep tears take a long time to heal. Did you get your tenant issue resolved?

Cyndi I laughed about DH eating like a girl. I worked with a guy she was an emotional eater. Sounds familiar to me lol. Enjoy your date night.

Tammy sorry to hear you need surgery. Hopefully it is not too invasive. I hope this leads to positive healing once and for all.

Well one more coffee then a little nap. I do need to go shopping before work ugh. Have a great day!

I'm giggling over Cyndi's DH eating like a girl! My hubbie doesn't. He doesn't even eat a lot of sweets (crazy, huh?!?).

Good morning and Happy Friday,

Well, I got the outside decorations down other than the porch lights (even though it was raining), will get them today. I have to as tomorrow we are getting 2 to 4 inches of snow plus the temp is dropping by 20 to 30 degrees. I am going to get everything put away today and start going through bags of clothes to figure out which are going to donation store and which to resale store and out of this house.

I am wfh today and do have a PT appointment at 11 a.m. The first one made me feel worse the next day so we shall see onward and upward.

Debbie I hope you enjoy your last day off, I am looking forward to my weekend off.

Tywnn I am sorry to hear that you need surgery but your right to get it done now.

Cyndi my husband is a huge sweet eater, chocolate and donuts and cookies. Luckily my head is in the game and when I eat op not of that junk tempts me thank goodness. I have only had 2 cheats days since August of last year and that was Thanksgiving and Christmas day.

Ruth yeah for sleeping in enjoy your day

Jekel those are yucky working hours, I think I would be cranky too.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Morning!

Tammy - that stinks, but at least there will be some relief. Pain is HORRIBLE

Cyndi - DW is like that too - huge stress sweets eater. Makes it hard but she's been gaining weight (we're almost the same size now!) and has been 100% on plan so here's to hoping it sticks for her.

We're heading to NY tonight - my sister and brother (twins) birthday is tomorrow, niece Sunday and nephew Tuesday so it's party hardy weekend. We will be a little off plan - test will be to see if DW eats the birthday cake.

Have a good one if I can't make it to post this weekend.
