Unhappy Dismayed at weight gain due to injury

Hello! I am here to get some support in weight loss. I weighed the most I ever weighed 6yrs ago. I made the decision to lose it - and I did. Diet and exercise. I lost 20lbs in 1 month!

Recently I suffered an injury. I was out hiking and I decimated my ankle. The damage wasn't found until 3 months after the injury first occurred. As a result - I haven't been able to exercise as much/well as I'd like. Pretty much all high-impact cardio is out of the question. I still am wearing an aircast on my foot.

So as a result, I've pretty much gained all the weight I initially lost - after 6yrs of keeping it off.

Anyway, I am hoping to be able to lose the weight again. I am not quite sure how to, but came here looking for support!

RogueRose, just wanted to let you know I have lost all my weight by just eating healthy and no exercising at all. It can be done! Both of my ankles have been sprained in the past at one time or another and I have arthritis problems with my knees. Sweating flares up my rosacea and any kind of friction like walking flares up my other skin condition.

I feel your pain I was a runner and got shin splints I was off exercise and gain about 48 lbs in a year just sitting icing my leg off and on .Now after months about 8 I am walking again. In time when you heal you can get back until then try to eat right the best you can ..
