Default Newbie checking in!

Hi Forum,

I'm a 26 year old female forum beginner hoping to find better health and a happier self! Hopefully joining this forum will give me a great inspiration boost and maybe a couple of new friends to get motivated by, and hopefully motivate back.

I'm one of those who was always chubby, ever since childhood, and without a built-in sense of healthy living. In my teens I developed an eating disorder, and went chub to very small to very big and everything inbetween quite a few times. I'm still prone to binging, but trying to control it.

About four years ago I was my all time heaviest, as well as my all time most unhappy with myself, and I decided to start this journey towards a better health. I have since lost a little over 40 pounds, learned a great deal about healthy food and exercise and is feeling better about myself.

After going back to university and the stress of studying two years ago I got stuck in my weight, and have been hovering around the same numbers on the scale ever since. Now I'm out of school and with a brand new un-stressed outlook on life and want to take this journey to its goal! I am hoping to loose another 40 pounds to reach my ideal weight, health wise. I want to exercise and eat well, not starve myself in freaky diets. I want to build a good foundation of knowledge and habit that will keep me healthy throughout my entire life.

I have high hopes about joining this place! It seems full of great, inspiring and motivated people! I cant wait to dive in!

I'm a forum newbie too. I'm 32 and I'm hoping to lose about 35 pounds. Just started training for a 10k in March. I've done various diet plans, some crazy, some a little more manageable. Like you "I want to exercise and eat well, not starve myself in freaky diets," lol. Look forward to reading about your progress in the coming months!
