Sorry too early for a creative title.

Looks like winter came last night. Can't wait to drive in to the city lol. Up early for the graduation ceremony. Trying to be extra diligent and getting a workout in before I leave. Oh how I wish I were still in bed!

Have a great day!

I'm up too, Jennifer, and we seem to have suddenly been dumped into REAL winter. The dogs were quite disgusted by the snowdrifts on the deck, did their thing and came right back in. (Short-legged dogs can't manage snowed in steps apparently. They don't realize the steps are still there under the white stuff!)

Not sure what the day will bring but I won't be going anywhere until Richard ploughs us out. Our road was done before 5 - I woke wondering about the strange noise. How soon we forget! Once it gets bright out there, I'll get the corn broom and sweep the steps down to the dogyard. Pretty dense of me not to get the snow shovel out of the barn when I tucked the car away for the night. Looks like snow flurries for the day and then that scary "mixed precipitation" overnight!

This is starting to feel like a quilting, dog petting, soup making sort of day. I'm thinking broccoli soup for lunch with a wee bit of ham and maybe croutons. Whaddayathink?

It's "Choose"day so do something nice for yourself. I'm planning to slather on some hand cream in about ten minutes. Join me.

To quote Bill the Cat "Ack!" That's all I can say Cricket agrees with your dogs Ruth, she was horrified.
Off to get stitches out, I'll stop in later.

Good morning!

Sorry to hear the East Coast weather has deteriorated. I was thinking that warm sounded so wonderful. It's cold here but I see stars so Think it will be sunny.

I've done some chores, made my smoothie and am now having my final cup of coffee. I'm going to drop the dogs off at daycare today so that's an extra consideration. Mom has an appointment in Denver after I get off work so regretfully, I will be heading down there.

Have a good Tuesday everyone!

Cyndi. Hope stitch removal isnt to painful.

Debbie you have another busy day.

I spent sunday watching all 6 episodes of pride and prejudice. Ah, Colin Firth is so wonderful in it. Yesterday was spent with friends but home early before the snowstorm. Gave dh tickets for star wars and we will go see it tonight. Not my thing but he is crazy for it. Its going to be in imax, hope I don't get too dizzy. Cant wait for the new year to get back to normal.
Have a nice day everyone
take care
Sophie

Good morning chicks! You ladies are making me realize how much we got away with (welcome to Happy Valley - that's really what it is called here...). We were supposed to get an ice storm, and didn't. Did get some sleet yesterday, but didn't do anything to the roads. I haven't looked for today...

Jennifer- thanks for starting us off, hope the drive is okay. I worry about you on NYE!

Ruth - I think your lunch sounds perfect. Problem is, for me, there's no such thing as a FEW croutons!! Who needs a little soup with their croutons anyways?!

Cyndi - I hope your appointment goes well and that you're nearly done with this mess!

Debbie - you're a good daughter (never mind good at so many other things!). I hope the trip goes okay.

Sophie - I'll go for you!! There's no IMAX here, I would LOVE to see it at the IMAX. I rarely go to the theater, but this movie is a must!

Yesterday wound up being me taking DD to the library while DH took DS to the shooting range, so today he's taking them to the mall. I think I'm going to stay home, since I can't walk the whole thing, and don't want to drag them down. It will give me some quiet time this week .

Speaking of quiet time, it is still quiet here, everyone is sleeping! I get to enjoy the Christmas tree lights and my coffee before the noise erupts. DS and DD have sure been at it lately...

Good morning!

We're just on the fringes of this storm and getting rain. Be safe, all of you who have icy conditions! I plan to have a lazy day at home before heading over to the farm around 4. I have to stay the night there tonight, but my SIL is going to spend the night with me, so it'll be fun! We plan a movie and popcorn night.

Morning, chicks!
We too have winter this morning; freezing rain on top of the snow that came overnight. I had almost forgotten about cleaning off the car and digging out...If we weren't on vacation already it would be a snow day.

Ruth, we cooked a turkey yesterday so today I will make stock with the carcass. I need to peruse soup recipes since I have never found one I was happy with.

Jennifer
, what great motivation you showed this morning! Hope the drive isn't too bad and you enjoy the graduation ceremony.

Cyndi, my thoughts are with you. Speedy healing.

Debbie, may work go smoothly.

Cottage, Tammy and Sophie, enjoy your days.

Other than soup, not sure what is on my agenda. Maybe reading by the fire??
