Default Terrific Tuesday - we hope! Make it so!

Good morning. The dog alarm woke me at 5:30 so we could inspect the day. It was just first light and there was the moon and a large star - not sure if it was Venus or Mars. Looks like a lovely day is ahead with a high of 62º. I'll take it.

We had a really small group at Quilting yesterday and are getting way behind on filling quilt requests. I ended up taking two quilts to bind. What could I do? I also have a quilt to deliver to a man in this area later today but that will be a pretty drive through the woods and lakes. Yes, I do take my cell when driving through wilderness.

Yesterday I rented up a rug shampooer - those things are heavy! I had to holler for help getting it out of the car, up the steps and into the Town Hall. I am planning to give it a go on cleaning the terrible rug in the middle room of the Hall but am not expecting it to become clean. The darned thing is very old and was glued onto the concrete underneath.

Fingers crossed that today really does turn out to be Terrific.

"Make it so" Ruth, makes me think of Patrick Stewart from Star Trek. Oh my, what a nice looking man!

Jennifer - glad you checked in last night and made it okay. Glad your food choices were better than the plane ride!!

I didn't completely die in PT yesterday, WOO HOO! We did cut back a little bit though . I even made DH take me down to the park for a little walk while he let the dog go a bit nuts. It was such a beautiful day!

Today is just niggles, I really need to get a little bit done in the house. Poor DH, I know he gets a deep sigh looking at stuff that needs to be done (that he can't do), but he's putting up with it well. I just need to do a little bit at a time.

I guess I should figure out dinner too? (I did get a bunch of fresh veggies and hummus at sam's yesterday!)

Have a great one!

I'm hoping it's a Terrific Tuesday! The day already looks much brighter than yesterday, and it's supposed to be warmer, too.

The girls have the day off school today for Election Day, but they are going on the Fox Hunt, so will be gone most of the day. I'm not sure whether Maggie will feel like going to her piano lesson afterwards, so we'll just play it by ear (no pun intended, LOL).

Ruth, I sure hope that shampooer can do a good job on the rug! At least these longer evenings will give you more time to sit and work on the quilt bindings.

Jennifer, I'm glad you had a safe trip to Texas and hope your conferences are interesting.

Tammy, Good morning! It sounds like you're starting to take baby steps towards progress, slowly but surely.

Good morning!

I had a busy morning which included lots of coffee and have dropped off both of the dogs at different places. I still beat the boss. I'm sitting in my warm car waiting for him now.

Kirk decided last night that he would travel over this afternoon since it's supposed to snow on the passes tomorrow and Thursday. I was already planning to take his daughter to the airport after work so we can both go. She's going to fly back-and-forth for the holidays. She lives in San Francisco. She thought it A far better idea to leave her vehicle up here since her younger sister is still a little destructive.

I don't know if I mentioned that I brought five of my prettiest plants indoors. I have some very nice sunny spots and they seem to be thriving, so far. Last week I picked up some vinyl tablecloth which looks like lace and I made squares for my tables where I was going to put the plants. I was proud of myself on my three dollar job and everything looks really nice.

It felt really good to get the house all spruced up because I think I'm going to working in our yard tomorrow and finalize things there before it snows on Thursday. Thursday I can go back to the old rental project and hope to finish it.

Have a great day everyone!
