Happy Wednesday chicks. Another warm and sunny day here. After work I am planning on picking up some mums to plant by the front door. I love all the colors and always have a hard time deciding which to bring home!

Other than that, another day of work. Always busy there.

Got to fly; just need to make my iced coffee.

I am up! I was so happy to sleep until 5:15! WOO HOO!

Beth, getting those mums sounds like a lovely idea! A splash of color outside my door would be nice.

My appointment yesterday wasn't great, but I can't really discuss details right now. No big deal, just....oh well. Move on to the next thing.

This morning, I am meeting a former client for breakfast, he has had a heart transplant. Isn't that FREAKIN' COOL!?!? Just a walking miracle. He is the sweetest man ever. A friend of mine is joining us because they really hit it off (she and I were having breakfast and he stopped by our table, because he eats there every day...) . She is actually a breast cancer survivor, so she's a blessed one as well. I am looking forward to our conversation .

Other than that - one appointment then nothing. A friend gave me a bunch of card making stuff, I would really like to start trying that. Anyone want a homemade card?!

Have a great day! It's promising to be beautiful here today!

Good morning, EarlyChicks. I guess it's the darker mornings but I have started "sleeping in" until after six. I sure hope that continues.

Beth, I am going into town today - a recall on my car - and plan to pick up some mums too! "Great minds think alike!" It still doesn't feel like Fall here except for the shorter days.

Tammy, sorry the appointment was a downer. A new hobby sounds like a great idea. I love homemade cards. (Hint! Hint!) Heart transplants are amazing and that man sounds like he deserved one!

The afternoon meeting with Patti went well - she's not ready to take over the treasurer position at the moment but did take home some "homework". This transition is going to take some time but I am hopeful.

Time to get my act together and make a shopping list for my trip to town. I am planning on buying a prime rib roast for dinner Friday when my brother graces us with his presence. My sister and I refer to Dave as "The Young Prince" and he loves it. We always have a good time when he stays for an overnight on his travels.

Enjoy this glorious day, whatever it brings.

Good morning everyone another beautiful day here. Linda must be enjoying these bright days at the beach.

Beth I too need to get some mum. With my summer flowers just about done a pop of color would be nice. My Montauk daisy is just about ready to bloom.

Ruth I hope the recall is not a big issue for your car.

Tammy so sorry your doctor's appointment didn't go well. Have a wonderful time this morning. Amazing what people go through, survive and live a nice life.

As for me I slept in until almost 8:30! DS is off so no alarm clocks to disturb my slumber. Granted I didn't get to bed until 1, but sleep felt good. Went for my annual yesterday. Apparently someone is up 13 pounds from last year!!! My doctor really believes this to be a metabolic/hormone issue since I am pretty active and generally eat a healthy diet. She wants me to see a nutritionist because she believes I am not eating enough calories (lol never heard that one before). I reinstated my ticker 15 pounds would put me well under goal which is where I woukd like to be. So far I have had 2 days on P1, the real P1, not my version of it lol. I am logging and counting calories since I'm sure the nutritionist will want to see it. Sigh I wish these wonky hormones would knock it off already. Oh well, rant over.

More coffee then motivation for going to work a little early.

Good morning, chicks.

Tammy - Sorry things didn't go well. Hugs.

Jennifer - I have heard that about eating too few calories. The body things it might be starving so slows the metabolism.

Missed yesterday. I was up and out early - spent the day helping DH with MIL. Packed lots of food to take with me so I could stick to my OP eating and not be tempted by all the treats at her house.

I'm working the closing shift tonight. Made Taco Bake earlier in the week and portioned out dinners for work. Haven't had that in ages - probably since DH went vegetarian three years ago. Yummy.

Have a great day.

Good mo4ning

Beth. Yes, there different colours are really overwhelming. Hope you dont have too much trouble deciding.

Ruth. Wow, a prime rib is such a splurge these days.

Tammy. Sorry about your disappointing dr. Appt. Im sure you will have a good answer soon. Enjoy your breakfast and company.

Jennifer. Hope you got some much needed rest and will find the motivation to go to work. Hormones are unpredictable.

I'm playing around with 1 bushel of romano tomatoes. I swear after this all the canning enthusiasm for the year is done. If the weather is nice next week, we are going to quebec city.
take care
Sophie

Well the prime rib is lovely but I nearly had a heart attack when the butcher showed me the total price! It was $101 - a shocker! Then he realized he's used the price key for filet. He rekeyed it and it still was $51.97 roast. It's 2.836 kilos - so about a 6 pound 4 ounce roast. I took it and used $40 of my points to ease the pain! I'm sure glad I'm not feeding a family of 6. I see a lot of cold sliced beef in the week ahead.

The recall and fix for my car was relatively relaxing. The dealer has a lounge with coffee and newspapers. Unfortunately there was a young woman there on her cell phone haranguing someone in her office. Why do people speak so loudly on their cells? Do they think they are in a private space? I usually leave the room to use mine.

Right now I'm going to venture out and pick yet more cherry tomatoes. I may just cut them in half and dehydrate them. Six plants sure can produce.
