Morning, Debbie! I'm off to work early, too! I have to get Audrey to Band Camp by 7:45. Must gulp a cup of coffee down first!

Checking in a tad late this a.m. as I needed to wash floors first. TMI but never give your dogs extra food no mater how hungry they say they are. Jazz has been feeling poorly for about a week - probably the heat. My fingers are crossed. hoping that's all it is!

There is nothing on my calendar today and I am hoping to keep it like that. (Yesterday's three hour Mill Board meeting wore me out.) Today is supposed to be hotter than yesterday so it'll be a good day to lay low. I'm glad I worked in a trip to the bank yesterday after the meeting and can see absolutely no reason to even go out the door today - unless the house catches fire.

Tomorrow I have a long dental appointment to get some fillings replaced. The three teeth are not bothering me at all but my dentist is a worrywart. Thursday I visit dear Doctor Jack - nothing serious, just some funny bumps to get removed. I wish I could talk him into a skin transplant instead!

Keep cool, chickies - this too shall pass!

Good morning,

It is a humid day today, we are supposed to get some thunderstorms later on today. Tonight is DD2 soccer practice if it doesn't get rained out.

Didn't sleep well woke up at 3:30 a.m. and couldn't go back to sleep but I did lay and just rest the bones until alarm went off.

Debbie and Cottage enjoy your days

Jekel sounds like you have lots of running around to do today

Ruth not a good way to start your morning, hope Jazz is feeling better soon

Have a great day everyone

Good morning, chicks!
Late start here today as it was after 10 pm when DH and I made it back from delivering DS2 to school. Long day driving down Sunday (Jennifer, did you see me wave? ) Yesterday we made the ride home longer on purpose as we went through Vermont in a quest to find the Lake Champlain Bridge that recently re-opened after construction. (Cyndi, I waved at you too! Do you ever take that bridge to get to central New York?)

So today will be some laundry and groceries, then I need to make a list of all the chores I have been putting off. I go back to school 2 weeks from today, but will need to spend some time working before then to get my classroom together.

Cottage and Pearlrose, your kids start early! When I was a kid school always started the Wednesday after Labor Day but recently it seems to really vary. This year we start before since the holiday isn't until the 7th.

Ruth, your weather is my weather! We are having the humid 90* stuff too. Luckily the grocery store will be cool.

Debbie, have a good day at work.

Off to check if my coffee has cooled enough that it won't instantly melt the ice. I have really gotten addicted to making iced coffee with a splash of SF vanilla.

Ruth I'm close to your age but could never do all you do. Good to hear you are taking the day to rest and care for your own needs.

I've been up for hours but my morning routine doesn't let me come here till most of you are off and gone.

Beth Our school day began as yours did. I feel sorry for the kids who go back when the weather is so hot, and not all schools have air conditioning.

Dermatologist burned off that irritating growth on my back yesterday, thank goodness. It itches constantly. She found nothing wrong on my skin so I'm good for another year. Surprised with the amount of time I'm in the garden with sunshine, but do wear longsleeves, gloves, and hat.
