Default Ideal weight but still have fatty body.

Not sure if this is the right thread to post in, but It's been 8 months since I decided to start losing weight. In this time i've gone from 310 pound to 184 pound. I've gone down 4-5 clothing sizes aswell.
The problem is that I am at my ideal weight, and although I am thinner, I still have a lot of fat around my stomach and upper thighs. Also, my hands/feet/neck and upper chest area are about as thin as they can get.
I know that I lost the weight very fast, and much of the loss was probably a mix of water, fat and lean muscle. Now, how would I go about losing the fat, but stay the same weight?

Thanks

Daniel

Wow, congratulations on your great loss! This topic comes up a lot, actually, so you might want to do a search on the forum on "loose skin" or something like that to see what's been posted. Often when we lose a lot of weight quickly, the skin doesn't snap back into place right away, but weight lifting seems to help some people ... for others, time (maybe a year or so) will help, and still others consider surgery as a last resort. There was a thread about this on this support forum not too long ago ... one of the posters was Mrs. Jim, you might find it that way.

Good luck, it'll work out in time. You've done a great job with the weight loss.!

If you have a Curves in your area try it! It is resistance exercises and will tone you up fast. They will also weigh and measure you each month so you can keep track of your success. They usually offer one week trial period for free. Otherwise, buy a tape and be consistant in using one that keeps your interest.

Way to go!

Hi Daniel!

You might want to try weight training for at least a year. It seem to be good at reshaping the body.
