Oh SmallSteps....! I'm sending hugs your way! Only you can take care of yourself, and you'll get there. As you said, you're in deep mourning, and it takes time to work through the loss of a loved one. I won't say you ever "get over it" because I don't think you ever do. You just get to a point where you can smile again, you can remember with fondness but you will always remember what once was. If you haven't tried grief counselling, I would recommend it. It might be helpful for you to talk about your feelings with someone who's not connected to your life and doesn't have an opinion. Maybe you need to ask the doctor to try another medication for depression...hopefully there's one that doesn't make you feel so unable to function. I truly hope that your life starts to look a little brighter soon. BIG HUGS!!

SmallSteps -- Good luck with your new journey. I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm just restarting, and making 2016 my year of regaining health too.

First of all I want to say I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I have not walked in your shoes but my best friend also lost her husband in 2014. You are strong and will get through this. I think making your health your primary focus is wonderful. I wish you good luck on your journey.

2annabelle Thank you annabelle, I did go to counseling and I went to weekly support groups. I have in the last six month also been exchanging letters with two people who are still living because of the organs my husband was able to donate. I work for an oncology office, which is what my Stephan died from, so I am around death daily. I found out that you are never prepared when it happens to you.

Angie Congratulations on starting your journey again. Looks like you are doing well with almost a 5 pound lost. Maybe we can help cheer each other on.

equinechick61 Thank you for your kind words I am determined to at least get back to where I was (240) by the end of this year. I know I can do it.

Oh Hey! , SmallSteps! Just saw your "hello" post in the decades thread...thought I'd reply in this thread as you're more likely to re-visit here. Good to see you again...and so glad to hear your life is coming back together.

I have graduated to every 4 weeks now How often are you getting yours? I also have a vitamin D deficiency I am currently being treated for. I take 50,000 units of Vitamin D weekly on Mondays.

I am getting them three times a week as part of my program, B6 and B12 -- when I move to maintenance I think they will reduce to once a week. I just can't believe how much they sting, I don't normally mind needles. They put them in different fatty areas each time...so far it's been just my butt, but I hear I'll have them in my belly at some point!! I'm petrified about that.

Hi SmallSteps ... I am so sorry to hear about your husband. It sounds like you are being kind to yourself. Grief comes in such different ways. I hope you will find some camaraderie in 3FC's. I have added you to my buddy list to follow your progress and hopefully we can encourage one another. ENJOY your weekend.
