Default Dukan Diet Support-Part 4

I am starting a new thread and hopefully that is ok! The Part 3 is 31+ pages and hasn't had a post since May.

I just started the Dukan diet a couple weeks ago and I am loving it so far. I lost about 5 pounds during the Attack phase and I am now working in some PV (protein veggie) days.

I don't crave sugar so much anymore, and I am finding some really yummy recipes.

Oh and shiritaki noodles are allowed on all phases! I love it!

I tried South Beach previously with good results, but I think the high olive oil/cheese allowances are not working anymore since I am mid thirties. I am finding the Dukan diet has much less fat.

Planning on starting Dukan tomorrow. Excited! I lost around 80 lbs last year doing Atkins but fell off the wagon and gained 40 back :-(

I've been on a plateau for over a year - the only way I can lose weight anymore is through extreme measures (<1000 calories/day) and then I promptly put it back on. I'm hoping the Dukan Diet will break the plateau and plan to start after my mother visits in late August (because I know I wouldn't stick to it while she's here.)

I just recently bought the books... I like the cookbook... I liked having the little bit of oat bran everyday... and I liked that you could have the non fat dairy... but after dieting for so long I've just been so burned out I just can't seem to stick to any plan... But I really need to do something because I'm starting to put some weight back on... I guess I should go take a look at this plan again...

Yay more Dukan dieters!

I have found the key is meal planning and making yummy recipes. Feel free to check out my Pinterest Dukan recipes here: https://www.pinterest.com/foxydogstyle/recipes-to-make/

I highly recommend liberal use of the shiritaki noodles. I am rocking a sweet chipotle dupe for lunches atm consisting of shiritaki rice tossed with lime juice and cilantro, grilled bell peppers and onions, and shredded seasoned chicken.

My favorite Dukan recipes so far (and on my Pinterest) are:
chocolate oat bran muffins
bacon wrapped scallops
oat bran galette
tuna patties
turkey meatloaf (yum!)
Miso soup
Chinese shiritaki noodles
shrimp and bok choy stir fry

I am on the cruise phase atm, and have lost a steady amount of weight. Good Luck fellow Dukan Dieters!

Hi chubbysmall... I'm a fan of shirataki noodles too... I just picked up a couple of bags of them this week... I usually just use them when I'm in the mood for "pasta" and want to keep the carbs low... I was planning on doing a real basic "spaghetti & meatballs" sort of thing with them... But I just checked out the Dukan cookbook and there is a recipe for Chicken Tandoori and Shirataki Noodles that sounds good... So I think I'll try that at some point this weekend...

I decided to start earlier than I originally planned. I suspected that as I was already eating low-carb, the "magic," major, "super-motivating" weight loss during Attack phase wouldn't happen to me. I was right. Day 5 and I haven't lost an ounce. The good news is that I'm eating 1,200-1,400 calories a day without hunger, which never happened on high carb or low carb/high fat diets.

I've been on a years long plateau and this year the only way I've been able to lose any weight at all is dropping calories below 1,200. I'm kind of at my wit's end and was really hoping Dukan would be the plateau buster. I'll give it more time to see what happens, but I'm really about to give up. Skipping social events, white knuckling through cravings, starving, and exercising like a whirling dervish just to stay chubby, sucks. It really, really sucks.

Hello! I'm new here but not so new to the Dukan diet. I started the diet in the last week of July and have so far lost 20lbs (starting weight of 225 and I'm now about 204 give or take some water weight) even with a few cheats here and there.

I have a question for you lovely people! I'm very excited about my loss but I NEED to be below 200 to feel like I hit my first big goal. Despite exercising much more than the diet recommends, and sticking to the diet, for the most part, I've stalled with the loss. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get over that first plateau?

My second question is that being a college student I'm looking for suggestions for oat bran recipes that I can prepare ahead of time. I was doing the muffin in a mug when I was at home, but I'm finding myself struggling to get the oat bran in. Any suggestions?

Thanks! I'm so glad to find a community of people who understand my goals and going though the samething!

Hi everybody. Its my first time posting on a diet thread, though I have read them for years.

I just started the Dukan diet about 3 weeks ago. Need to get this pregnancy weight off and I can't keep using the excuse of just having had a baby when she is already 8 months old. Starting weight was 183 (still so shocking to actually see that number - never thought I would get that high) and goal weight is 130.

I'm on the cruise phase and try to do as many PP days as possible. I haven't been perfect on this diet but still have managed to lose 10lbs, 6 of which were in the attack phase. I want to be more involved with this thread because I feel I should contribute but also want the accountability and support!

Omarosa47 - I make a batch of cinnamon oat bran muffins - 12 at a time. I eat 2 per day so they last 6 days. They are so delicious and I usually have one for breakfast with some coffee and one later in the day when I typically struggle with cravings.

Maybe you could make a batch every 6 days and keep them in ziplock bag or tupperware?

So I have decided on some mini-goals. I have a wedding coming up which I am a bridesmaid for on November 6th and then will be traveling to see family for Christmas and plan to look spectacular!! We will also be visiting the in-laws and not that there is a daughter-in-law competition....but my husband's brother's wife has had 3 children and just rocked a bikini with a 6 pack on our recent beach trip while I wore a one piece with a huge cover up.

My mini goals:
- Sept 18th: Goal - 168
- Oct 1st: Goal - 165
- Nov 6th: Goal - 157
- Dec 1st: Goal - 149
- Dec 19th: Goal - 144

Who knows after that. I weighed 139 on my wedding day 2 yrs ago and felt that was about 10lbs too heavy for me. My calculated TW is 128 and I really want to reach that. Haven't weighed that in at least 6 yrs and that was brief.

Good luck everyone!

Hoping to make this thread more active. I love Dukan so far and want to spread the word!

mauvila13 - Thanks for the advice. It's so stupid, but I just can't motivate myself to make the muffin in a mug every day. I can be so lazy! Is there a specific recipe that you use?
