Default Marvelous Monday chat

Good morning,

Finally had a day yesterday without rain though it was a bit on the chilly side and will also be today before climbing back up tomorrow and the rest of the week.

Only thing I did yesterday was a grocery run to get salad and fruit to get back on track after a bad weekend of eating. My girls are on board with me so that will make it easier for all of us to keep eating cleaning. The goal is the rest of the summer.

Today is in office day with what else lots of meetings lol.

Have wonderful day!

Good morning! And thanks for getting us started, Rose! Your rain has come here, and I bet the farmers are rejoicing since we need it so bad.

It's been a busy weekend and I never did get in here to post, although I did read. Hopefully, now that the horse show is over, this week will be a lot less frenzied. I do know that today starts off with an ortho apptm. for Maggie, and we'll see where the day goes from there.

Have a marvelous day!

Good morning, Pearlrose, and I'm glad the rain has eased off. We still have it up here and are crabbing a bit but your part of the USA can crab all you want - Texas particularly. I can't believe the pictures coming out of Texas!

It always seems right to me when the first day of the month is a Monday and I hope June knows how to turn off the rain! We've been in it since late Saturday and I still have planting to do. Leeds county clay is uncooperative when wet and turns into concrete if you walk on it.

Off to quilting biddies this morning to listen to the usual senseless babble. Too bad I always have a "meeting" on the first Monday of the month and only stay until noon. This is the last meeting until September and I think I'll suggest they find another Treasurer.

This reads like a crabby post - sorry! I need sunshine. This is why I am resisting moving to Vancouver island as my DD is pushing. I cannot imagine November to March with gray skies and rain although my SIL keeps reminding me that you don't have to shovel rain!

Time to crank up the day. Just checked my calendar and see that tomorrow is completely free. Hmmm - maybe I'll finally finish the wardrobe switch. It looks like I could stay in my jammies all day if I wanted.

One we go into June the month or roses and strawberries around here.

Good morning everyone!

I'm outside enjoying my last cup of coffee before I head out the door to work. I surveyed yard to decide if I needed to water anything before I left since it didn't rain yesterday. It looks like everything will go through so I can procrastinate hooking up the hoses and water for at least to let another eight hours. LOL.

Happy Monday everyone!

Good morning. How can it be June?!

Today is packing day here. I've got my first load of laundry in and will do the rest when I get back from the gym.

DH and I finally decided to drive our own car to/from CA for maximum flexibility so that will make packing easier - I can throw in as much as I want! Not sure what stops we'll make on the way back home so am going to bring hiking clothes/boots and lots of layers. I've requested off three weeks from work so we can be leisurely in our return travels.

Hopefully DS will spend time today seriously researching housing and setting up appointments for when we hit the Bay Area. Best case scenario is that he finds a place that lets him move in before he starts work in two weeks, and that we can help him move his stuff up from LA. Fingers crossed.

Pre-trip niggles all day.

It's June? Seriously? When the heck did that happen!?

The strawberries have been amazing lately - did anyone notice that?! They're at a great price too . I doubt the local pick your owns are ready since we didn't warm up until May. I just got a bag of cherries at the grocery too! It's fruit season!

Good evening First chance to get to the computer after morning Colonoscopy that went very, very well. Normal results!!! And, a friend was on duty as nurse so I was treated especially well. All the staff were tops, actually.

Rose, glad your rain came to us last evening. All my weeding, etc, and mulching were settled in so well and today's cool day in low 70's is a delight.

Karen, what a delight that you have enough time off and are making the trip the best way, without another's schedule and a car for convenience. Be safe.

Great to begin June on a Monday! With my insides totally cleaned out, I'm determined that only the healthiest food will enter my mouth from now on. DH fixed the most delicious spicy lentil soup and with it being a cloudy cool day, it was perfect.

Good evening, chicks!
Very cool and rainy today; it's okay with me since when the weather is nice it makes the kids antsy. Schools in NY still have a couple of weeks before state exams. Also, the spring was so dry we needed the rain.

Here's to an OP June!
