Default No thyroid

**** oEveryone. My name is laura and Iahev no idea how to use this thing lol but i figured id give it a shot since it looks like alot of people are going through the same thing i am. I had my thyroid removed almost two years ago and am taking the replacement for it and all that good stuff. however since the surgery i gained about 15 pounds, which soesnt sound like much but it sure feels like it especially when ur clothes dont fit. Everyone here seemed to be very supportive or each other and give each other good advice from experience. Doctors try to tell you "oh do this adn do that" but until theyve done it themselves, they really dont know how tough it is. If anyone is in the same boat as I am maybe you can help. How did you jump start your weight loss? and what has seemed to work? I am at a standstill. :/

llg1984! I don't know if there are threads discussing no thyroid, but I know there are threads on hypothyroidism if that might be helpful, and I'm sure others posting in them would like your input as well. Those threads are under the forum Dieting with Obstacles. Here's a link: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/dieting-obstacles-14/. And maybe you could start a thread on having no thyroid in that forum. If there are others in your boat, that could be helpful to all of you. Good luck with your weight loss journey!

Jacqui gave you some good advice. I would start with the hypothyroid forum. They would be the ones to give you the best advice.

I have nothing to add, I just wanted to welcome you to the board. You are definitely in the right place.
