.... you American Chicks are heading into a long weekend. I hope you have great weather as we did for our long weekend. Next up will be Canada Day (July 1) and then your Glorious 4th.

Yesterday was COLD and I did not do any outside work except to hose the road dust off my car's back window. (We do have paved roads up here but I love the dirt roads as I see more interesting things that way. Yesterday I saw some freshly minted baby goats frolicking in a farmyard.) I spent a lot of my time side-stepping other people's priorities and actually said "No" to a couple of requests. I did get banking done though and spent some quality time with the doggage in the back room with the stove turned on for coziness.

Today is cleaning day but I am going to get M. started and then take off for town to finally get plants for the half-barrels at the Mill. We need to look spiffy for Doors Open. Hmmm - temps are going down to 38º Friday night so I hope geraniums are tough.

What's happening chez-toi? Whatever today brings, find something that makes you smile.

We're cool and rainy here today, but I'm happy since it will give the 2 flats of petunias and the 5 planters I filled with flowers at the farm yesterday a good start. There's nothing pressing on my agenda for the day, and it will be a good day to take care of running errands and getting groceries at work.

OMG chicks - you wouldn't believe this hotel we're at. The company paying for this got us all suites - so we have the biggest deepest jetted tub ever! The food was amazing last night, and I'm kinda looking forward to today's events .

I brought my neighbor friend with me, she's had an even rougher year than I have, and it's amazing her perspective. Anyone down on life needs to talk to her . I hope she enjoys her day while I'm in class, this is certainly a treat for both of us to be so spoiled.

Chilly here too, no ride yesterday instead a trip to the bike mechanic. My tires were not holding air which was strange. Turned out my pump was the problem. My guy fixed me up for free which was awesome. So I tipped him and the store manager for lunch on me. Today will be niggles around the home. I did get some annual seeds in the garden. Hopefully they will take off.

One of the coolest things from the trip was holding the Olmpic Torch. The torch was used to light the Calderon at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics.

We had a good trip over yesterday afternoon and jumped right into dinner with my sister and my girlfriend. Girlfriend and I watched a movie for a while then when she left I turned on my tape of the last Survivor episodes. Got a phone call at 10:45 PM from the driver in Alaska. He was trying to find our house for a big delivery. Got that arranged and delivered and it was midnight before I went to bed. I'm barely up and drinking coffee. I have so much to do here and haven't decided just what to do yet. LOL

My reception isn't all that great at this moment. Think I'll just sign off and wish you all a wonderful day!

Last day at conference heading out at 11:30 a.m. to drive back home. DH birthday today so we will take him out to dinner when we get home the kiddos and I.
