Good Morning

Coffee is on and especially needed this early and rainy day. Yesterday kicked our butts and it's more of the same today. I'm the early girl so need to get my trash hauled to the street. Smoothie is already made and I need to accomplish a few things before I go.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Tuesday Morning and we have fog. Not a drop of rain overnight despite all the dire t-storm warnings. We badly need rain so I shall put the soaker on the front bed this morning.

My raised bed is still not fertilized and planted but I may get at that later today. Lilacs are in full aromatic bloom and I usually have my seeds in by now. I still have not made it to a garden centre! I'll wait until later in the week when the pre-weekend shipments arrive. Things are probably pretty picked over by now after the long weekend planting frenzy. Although I worked in a garden centre for years, I now buy pre-planted large baskets for the half barrels at the Mill - it works out cheaper and the planters look great right away.

Strangely my cough did not wake me in the night. I had intended to go to the doc again today but think I'll wait another night to see what gives. I do pet therapy at the clinic tomorrow and can always check in then. I seem to cough only when I've been talking and that's easy to avoid except for the phone.

Looks like we are in for a slightly cool and dry spell. There's a burn warning on in the township - no open fires and be extra careful with BBQs. There are massive forest fires out in B.C. and we sure don't need that here although there have been a few barn fires lately.

Enjoy the day and stop to smell the lilacs or iris or bleedinh-hearts!

I'm enjoying my coffee and a lovely, cool morning. It's foggy and rainy this morning after a real drenching overnight, but it's welcome since we need it so badly.

Ruth, I hope your quiet night means your cough is finally going away! I still wish you'd see the doctor again, though, just to keep an eye on things.

Debbie, have a good day, and hopefully not as busy as yesterday!

It's looking to be a "normal" Tuesday routine here. I'd love to pick some rhubarb after I get home tonight, but it looks like I may not have time to do anything with it until the weekend. I wonder how it would taste in a smoothie?

Linda, I've been putting a chunk of rhubarb in my smoothie in the morning. Not enough to drastically change the flavor but it's got all kinds of good vitamins.

Speaking of smoothie, I'm drinking mine now. I need to get dressed and get the pups out the door. Guess what? The rain has turned to snow. Oh well. Life at high altitude.

I'm back! I actually got home Sunday night and popped by yesterday morning but got distracted before I managed to post. Funny how that happens

DH and DS (and his dog) drove our son's car and arrived late yesterday, after spending a night in Debbie's neck of the woods. Glad they missed the snow!

Today I need to decide on a new photo-editing software so I can do something with the pictures from graduation! And DH and I might get in a bike ride. Cooler than usual temps here.

Have a great day.

We had a very lazy first part of the day, including not much computer time. It was nice to get a little down time. Now I'm doing a work out then some baking. We did not get enough rain, so it's still very dry here. I will be back in the garden tomorrow.

Work days are always busy. I rarely get to check in until evening. Sounds like everyone had a busy Tuesday.

We are in for a couple days of cooler weather and could use a good soaking rain also. Looking forward to the long weekend and lots of garden time.
