This week is getting away from me! I'll spare you the details of yesterday's many problems, all involving water and mud with help from the doggage. At any rate, the Township has determined that the water in my yard is from a flowing artesian well. I'm not yet sure what the solution is but it will be costly! *sigh* (I never did make it to town to check out a garden centre.)
On a brighter note, my friend Katherine presented me with a great hat for my costume and the tea tickets are nearly all sold. Today is the day we were all to go to K's house for food prep but I begged off. Jazz and I do pet therapy this afternoon and I have way too much on my plate already. Still have not found my missing key which is great since it means I can't go into the Office to work.
Time to do some kitchen tidying and maybe fridge clearing. I must confess I have not been eating properly and will plan some meals to get me through to the weekend. I will NOT eat any of the Victorian tea party goodies on Saturday. Sure hope the asparagus pops up soon.
Ruth, at least now you know the reason for the flooding in the dog yard, but it's a shame it's going to be a costly fix. I hope today is a better day for you!
It looks like we had some much needed rain overnight, but the sun is trying to peek out from behind the clouds right now. At least it washed the pollen off my car. I have to leave early for a chiro appointment before work, so I should be getting ready to go. I'm not sure of the girls' schedule today but I'm hoping they have riding clinic and I can get home early (er). I want to try to get laundry done tonight.
Oh Ruth I hope today is a better day for you. I believe your key is hiding with my container lids. I cut up veggies for work and place them in small containers. I know I had the kids when I was doing my food prep, but they all disappeared...that was on Saturday and I still can't find them, even checked the garbage.
I did get a lit accomplished yesterday. Dragged the patio furniture up from the basement and gave it a good scrubbing. Pruned my Pom-Pom bush (that's the name my grandma called them), went for a nice ride and washed my bike.
Today looks like we will get rain so I'll plan for an indoor ride, laundry and start packing. I think I may venture to the mall and maybe get myself a few things.
Good morning, chicks. I'm home! Our quick trip east went smoothly. Enjoyed visiting with my cousins but wish it hadn't been because of a death in the family. Had the chance to actually go into the home where I spent my first 22 years and it was fascinating! Met another one of my dad's biological cousins.
Now I need to start focusing on our trip for DS's graduation next week.
Gym with my mom this morning, then rush to head to work. Will probably stop for groceries on the way home. It will be a busier than usual few days for me.
Ruth. Hope your water problems are solved soon and maybe it will be less $ than you think.
Linda. May you get home earlier today and the chiro does wonders for you.
Jennifer. You sure accomplished a lot yesterday. Is the weather promising for your ride.
Karen. Seems just like yesterday your were talking about ds going of to college. Time sure flies buy fast.
Debbie. Enjoy your smoothie and hope its an easy day.
so I finally decided to think about my garden. Made a plan of what I need to buy and plant and guess what, everything went out the window when I got to the gardners.
Take care
Sophie
Quick flyby for me, I am headed off to another location for a couple of meetings and then need to race back for an interview. Tonight, DH and I are going to Kenny Chesney concert so I never get to go home until late tonight.
Well, that's just frassing lovely! (Frass means caterpillar poop and is a great gardener swear word.) The sore throat I woke with this morning has turned worse and I am losing my voice. That's one way to get out of being Mrs Denaut at the tea on Saturday - NOT!. The doc says he can't give me anything except OTC stuff since it's probably viral. I am glad I wore a face mask doing pet therapy today though - the people I work with are very fragile. I plan soothing lemon tea, gargling with salt water and early bed tonight.
