My name is Amanda and I'm 29 years old (I'll be 30 in July of this year). I'm 262lbs and that, my new friends, is my all-time highest weight EVER.
I'm a nursing student in a one year LVN program at a local community college and I'll be finishing my first semester in two weeks with a 4.0 average. I'll be graduating in December this year, and hopefully have passed the NCLEX and have a nursing job by January/February of next year with any sort of luck!
I don't like excuses and I know exactly what I've done to get myself to this weight. Nursing school has only made those bad habits much worse. I've stopped exercising and my eating habits are truly, truly terrible. However, due to the amount of stress I'm under, I just left my job earlier today (nothing dramatic, I put in two weeks notice lol) which should leave me more time to focus on myself. I've gotten a gym membership with access to unlimited classes like cycling, weight lifting and Zumba and it's getting warmer, so I should be able to use the pool at my apartment complex soon!
I'm excited to (re)start the weight loss journey and my initial goal is to have made at least a little bit of visual progress by my birthday in July. Thanks for having me, guys.
