This weekend, if you think, “It’s okay to eat this because everyone else is,” remind yourself that your body doesn’t know or care what everyone around you is eating. It ONLY knows what you eat, so that is not a reasonable excuse.
It's that TOM for me and I feel dreadful, all bloated and icky. :/ I've been 100% all week, but I'm preparing myself for the scale to be unkind on Monday. But I shall persevere! Another 6 pounds, and I'll finally by at the weight I was the LAST time I started IP.
Sometimes I feel like Sisyphus, but I keep chugging on. :P

I start IP on Monday. I must be ready because I thought I'd want to eat a bunch of stuff before I start, but I really don't. I do plan to have my faves, mac n cheese and fried chicken this weekend.
I will definitely need your support. But, I am ready to start this program!

Welcome! Once I decided to do IP, I didn't feel like binging either. I was just ready to lose weight once and for all. Enjoy your mac and cheese and fried chicken and see you on Monday!!!
As for me, I am starting my phase off for vacation tomorrow. I am actually a little worried. I have done really well on Phase 1, and I don't want to gain a bunch of weight. The only reason I am even phasing off at all is because I found out the three day music festival I am going to doesn't allow you to bring anything in with you, so I couldn't eat any IP food at all. When I come back from vacay I am ready to go straight back to Phase 1 until I have reached my goal and can maintain!
Morning all! Happy Friday! This week has been pretty good to me. I have been reading and following the boards, but don't have much to add! Keep up the good work everyone!
I don't have much to say either but I need my 3fc 'fix' so here I am. I went clothes shopping today and realized how much I still have to lose. That was a bit of a downer. I saw a cute skirt at J. Jill but thought it was silly to get it in my current size so I got it in a smaller size. I've never bought smaller clothes with the hope to fit into it someday, so this was a new thing for me.
The mall had so many food temptations --ooh, all those aromas---but I stayed OP. It's odd how I don't even miss foods and I am amazed how I haven't had any cheats. Why is that? Is it the money? Is it the thought of going out of ketosis? Is it because I don't want to lose face with the few friends and relatives who know I am on a strict diet? Why am I able to stay true to this diet unlike previous diets??
And here's another random thought. I've been on many diets in my life. One was very successful and I lost 40 pounds. But I never got rid of my fat clothes. This time I am doing something different, I am purging all of my fat clothes. I've only lost 9 pounds thusfar, but once my clothes get too large, they are out of here. Good riddance!
Ok, I'll shut up with the random thoughts. Have a great weekend. Looks like it'll be fairly nice in my region again but on the chilly side! That's okay. Menopause and heat do not make a good pairing!
This is going into week 3 after my surgery (TAH), and the 1st week I have really been back on program eating all of my food. I stocked up before my surgery so I don't have anything to deviate. I have been losing slowly, but I think it is because the first couple of weeks I was in so much pain I didn't have an appetite. I was so motivated the two weeks prior to my surgery, and I am trying to get back there mentally. I started two weeks prior to the surgery for the 1st time on this program I lost 7lbs before surgery.
I have been reading posts daily which has kept me motivated. I read about how some coaches are not good, well I think I have one of those. I have not heard from mine since the week before my surgery. I can start driving next week, so I will probably go by there next week and ask what happened to the support. Anyway I get what I need from here which I am grateful for.
Sometimes I have nothing to add as well LegalEagle14, but I sometimes feel that if my presence is made known it gives me more strength than my lurking alone can. If that makes any sense?
Spent most of my day in bed with a migraine and it's been hard to eat so now I am soo very hungry. I am off to get a shake now that I realized that. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Me too, on both counts! My cycle is completely off and I'm currently experiencing the longest TOM lead-up in my life. I've been so bloated for the last week and a half, all I can do is hope it will end with a big woosh!!
Looking forward to my previous IP weight - only about 5 lbs to go... IF TOM will ever show up and get me off this hormonal rollercoaster!!
Well, I am home from my 2 week trip and let me tell you - I have seen some beautiful sights, stayed in some great hotels, met some really neat people and drove on some awesome roads! PLUS I stayed OP as much as I could! I did try a small bite of hubbie's "still warm from the oven" pecan pie in Pietown New Mexico, a small slice of some wonderful fresh wheat bread that a few months ago I would have eaten the whole dang loaf (it was baked at a B&B where we were the only guests-I couldn't let that work go to waste ), and 2 chips worth of fresh tortilla at a great Mexican restaurant where my main course was plain grilled chicken over a bed of lettuce and tomato with fresh pico and salsa to dress it. It was delicious! I can only imagine how good the rest of the food was! It was hard at times to watch others eat all those yummy carbs but I was determined to "be good"! My wonderful, sensitive and very supportive husband was worried everytime we went into a restaurant that I would be able to find something that I could eat. I told him to order what he wanted and I'd figure the menu out. Every place we ate at was very accommodating when I asked for no sauce, oil, marinades, extra veggies etc. And none charged extra for substitutions! We ate most of our lunches in the car as we drove from place to place (raw broccoli, cauliflower, mini bell peppers travel very well in a good ice chest!) with the occasional Subway salad topped with our own "tuna from a pouch" and WF dressings. IP (or alternative) crisps rounded out the meal.
As of this morning, on my scale, I have lost just under 8 pounds since my last weigh-in on 4/7. Not bad for being away from home and on vacation for 2 weeks!
My computer needs an overhaul so I don't have a program downloaded yet that will let me edit my pics so that they can be posted here. Working on it. I have a couple that I want to share so bad!
YOU ARE AWESOME! Congrats on losing weight while on holidays. That's got to feel amazing

Congratulations on a successful trip.
You are proof we CAN stick to it no matter what and make our experiences about the living, rather than about the food!
I saw you said you were determined to "be good"
I have a feeling it is more than that. I have a feeling you were determined to keep feeling as awesome as you've been feeling and to remain on the road of recovery from obesity (I refer to it as remission because it can come back if we allow it).
