I'm up early doing my thing....got DD's vehicle taken off the insurance so I could renew. Now I'm working on paying a toll online that the ex-wife incurred while moving the vehicle in Feb. (They don't have booths-they just send a bill). I was going to do some Colo. tax work but internet is slow. Oh, well.
I see an excuse to go drink more coffee....
I leave at 7:30 this morning to take mom to her monthly eye appt. That will take a big chunk out of my day.
Ugh. That doesn't sound like a fun day, Debbie. Definitely load up on coffee!
Thanks ya'll for your concern , I did get a nap yesterday morning!!
Today is my day off since I worked yesterday. Day off is a doctor's meeting for breakfast (cracker barrel, Linda! Should I say, I don't really care for cracker barrel breakfast, sorry!!), an eye appointment, and then meeting a friend for lunch. OHH! You might remember Matty, he did south beach with us years ago. Apparently he has stayed skinny, lucky guy!! He lives in Baltimore, but is finally following his dream of moving to Washington (state). I get to see him again before he leaves me.
Debbie, I hope your mother's appointment goes well and you get back in time to enjoy the rest of your day!
Tammy, breakfast is the only meal I enjoy at Cracker Barrel. I love their whole wheat French toast with bananas and pecans! Have a nice lunch with Matty, and tell him I said "hi" and wish him well on his move. That's wonderful that he's maintained his weight!
Cyndi, have fun on your mini vacation, and I hope the weather holds!
My back is much better so far today, but yesterday sure was a challenge. I realized that I probably put quite a strain on it while gardening on Sunday, and it sure didn't like that one bit!
Today is my last full work day this week since Cindy and the girls are leaving for Kentucky tomorrow morning, and I'll only have to go in for an hour or two just to tidy up a little.
The sun is shining for now, but thunderstorms are on their way for this afternoon.
Aw, Debbie! Sounds like a lousy day! You'd better load up on coffee and think of something to treat yourself when the day winds down.
Tammy, I'm glad your day went well and hope for more of the same for you today. I'm not crazy about CB breakfasts either but breakfast has never been my favourite meal. (Shhh - but sometimes I skip it!) I do remember Matty - wish him well.
Linda, the problem may well have been your gardening marathon. I hope tings continue to improve so you are feeling great for your weekend with M. and C.
Yesterday's meeting and tour went well. Most of the delegates were amazed at our Old Stone Mill's appearance and finally understood why we were declared a National Historic Site. Several of them bought flour and promised to come back with their family and friends for a visit when we are actually milling.
Today Jazz and I do pet therapy and after that a fireman friend of mine is coming to install my CO2 detector. I've been breaking the law since April 1st. I plan to tackle my desk this morning since it's chaotic. I should not be trying to do accounting for three different organizations.
Ruth - Do you have a website for the mill we can look at?
Yesterday we rode 27 miles again. It was windier than I'd like and my legs were tired. Biking seems to be making me eat! One thing after another went into my mouth after the ride. Need to stop that! I'm working today. Haven't thought beyond that.
The sun is shining now if it was just a bit warmer but I will not be complaining about 45 degrees Had a wonderful evening yesterday, we went out to dinner and then just enjoyed the nice evening at home.
Today is wfh and have some conference calls and email to reply to that require research so that will be my agenda.
Debbie hopefully you will be able to enjoy your weekend
Tywnn I do remember Matty enjoy your lunch with him
Cottage glad your back is starting to feel better
Ruth glad the meeting went well, I am with Karen wondering if there is a website
Karen that is great that you did 24 miles on the bike. I think I am ready try running on the ankle again, I think I am going to try it next week and see how it goes.
Yes, we do have a main website + several related ones. Do a search on "Old Stone Mill Delta" and take a look. If you check out the "events", you'll see why I go nuts in the summer!
Arghhh! Just lost my post. I hate when that happens.
Anyway, aside from the personals I was busily typing, the big news is there was a water main break and we were sent home from school early. Now I have a few extra hours to myself.
Debbie, I need no reason to drink coffee. It is one of my vices.
Linda, I'm glad your back feels better.
Tammy, hope the doctor gives you a good report.
Ruth, I am going to have to come visit your mill some time.
Karen, I sometimes wonder if I should try biking. Haven't done it in years.
Pearl, I am trying not to complain about our cold rain today. At least my daffodils are blooming so that's progress.
Cyndi, enjoy your trip!
Now what next? A new book, a nap or my workout?? Maybe all 3 but in reverse order.....
