Default Get Moving Monday, SBD Chat, April 20

Good Morning!

Welcome, OberonDM, to our daily chat! Where are you moving to in Florida? My brother has been in Key West for many years.

Coffee is on! I've had one and I'm heading down for another. It's a bit early for anyone to be joining in....

I went to bed early and we all know what happens next. Yesterday was an absolutely killer day at work. My best $$ of the year! I hope today isn't so slow that it just averages out. There seemed to be lots of skiers/snowmachiners on the road taking advantage of the April dump.

I'm getting niggles done....have picked up the downstairs and came up to resolve some paperwork. Our local property taxes are due Apr. 30 and I got them paid online avoiding that last minute panic. I hate that.

The snow melted a bit yesterday and I'm sure more will go today. I'm already seeing green patches in my yard.

What's on your agenda today? Stop and say hi

Have a great Monday everyone!

Good morning and boy is the coffee needed this morning. More sleep is needed too as I woke at 3 and finally got up at 5:30. It's very mild outside but rain is expected for today and every day right through to next weekend. This will be a good week to get things done indoors.

A very busy and tiring weekend but most successful on all fronts. By mid-afternoon Sunday things were easing up so I came home from serving pancakes to find five people and a 3-month old baby in my kitchen. I'm glad I left the tea things ready. These are Cousin Ian's "kids" who had been up to the Island doing some Spring clean-up. Nate had his first motorboat ride and also met two dogs - big day of firsts for the wee guy.

Today we do set-up in the Hall for tomorrow's Regional Planners conference which is huge - they are coming from all over Ontario. Of course they'll want tours of the Mill since it's a National Historic site so Anna and I will be doing that off and on during the day. No flies on us! I also need to count and balance a ton of money and get it into the bank.

Time to stop moaning and get doing. It's sad when you start the day looking forward to going to bed that night! However, I always say "I'd rather burn out than rust out."

Happy No Moaning Monday!

Good morning.

I'm happy to see it raining this morning after all the planting we did yesterday. It's nice that Mother Nature cooperated to help us out. And it's a great feeling to know that our vegetable garden planting has begun!

I'm looking at a short work week this week as Cindy and the girls are leaving for Lexington, Kentucky on Thursday for a Pony Club event, and I plan on spending part of the long weekend at DD's in New Jersey. Carley is in the play "Aladdin" at the local playhouse, and I'm going to help them start packing and get ready for their big move to Illinois at the end of June. I guess there will be many, many trips between here and there in the future.

Tammy, I hope your birthday was very special for you!

Debbie, I am always in awe of the energy you have to do that job! Woooo! I hope for your sake it's not *that* busy today .

Ruth - sounds like an eventful time for you. (wait..is this abnormal?...)

Yesterday was an amazingly beautiful day. We drove over and part way up the Pennsylvania grand canyon. Then went on a short hike, which my neighbor loaned me his trekking poles, and thank goodness he did!

Today is work. Hmmmm, not once have I gotten out on time, whaddayathink are my chances?!

Wow, looks like everyone is super busy!

It's actually sunny here in the UK today, about to take the dog out to the beach. Already had coffee with the bestie and updated some eBay auctions, checked my cabinet at the local selling centre to see if I need totop up my items. Got to use the Suntrust account I set up at Christmas when I visited my family in Orlando (that's where we're hoping to move to as well). So it's all good here!

Good morning. No workout today; my mom is heading out of town. Was going to bike with DH but it is chilly and supposed to be very windy. I'm a fair-weather exerciser! I really need to get motivated to menu plan, shop, and cook. Ugh.

Have a great day.

Well, it's not morning but I did make it before the end of the day. Today was the hardest day, telling some of the leaders who have worked so hard the last five years that the campaign is shutting down. No one is surprised, but it is still sad. Tomorrow's visits will be easier, I'm not as close to those women and haven't known them as long. Still not the easiest thing. I am so glad we leave Wednesday morning for Gloucester. Saturday DD and the little man are visiting, so lots to look forward to.

Yesterday I planted two kinds of peas, beets, broccoli, chard, spinach, lettuce, and radishes. Today's rain should really help get everything going.

Time to clean up from dinner. I made a meatloaf with vegetable powder as a binder. Everyone liked it, including the spoiled dog and it is full of veggies - powdered eggplant, peppers, & zucchini, and pureed cauliflower. That's what happens when you let a former vegetarian make meatloaf Wine time for me

Hey all, just stopping by to say good evening. Ugly day today: raining and 50-ish, and of course there was a malfunction at school and the fire alarm went off. At least I was able to grab my coat on the way out.

Sounds like all the chicks were busy today. I managed to get in a workout after school and food was pretty much OP. Trying to figure out why my weight is up.

Have a good evening everyone!
