The thing that I enjoy the most is not only the genuine sense of well wishing from every other member, but that it naturally inspires the same feelings in me.
Given the challenge of losing weight, it would be really easy to be jealous of or nasty about people who were more successful than ourselves but that's just nowhere to be found.
I was looking through the before and after pictures yesterday and I was just so excited for everyone on there. Everyone looked beautiful before but positively glowed with health and pride afterwards. I was just thrilled for everyone.
Have you noticed that even in support-style environments there's usually some dissent perhaps between people from one school of thought and another judging each other? But here, no one is forcing their own way of doing things on other people. They're all just offering any support and relevant information they may have and basically cheerleading.
Not just a positive weight loss experience, but a positive life experience generally about how people can treat each other.

I couldn't agree more,

I have found genuinely positive people, strangers, but strangers on the same journey as I.
Maybe I'm too naive to think this way but I have found through my interactions with people in 3FC what makes us human--a need to connect, to be accepted no matter what, to be encouraged and lifted up, and... the need to feel a connection, to accept others, to encourage and leave others better than we found them. I think that as human beings we're all intrinsically good, and our life experiences shape us and lead us one way or another. Luckily, I've seen that here people's life experiences have made the 3FC members positive people, people who empathize and are genuine.
Yeah, maybe I'm too naive, but I don't think I'm hurting anyone. I haven't gotten anything but good things out of being here. And I've been here for 5 years, off and on again.
