Default Thursday's Thunder, 4/9

Coffee! For some crazy reason last night I dreamed a bear was trashing my house and we were all cowered in a closet, and after that I couldn't get back to sleep. I must be losing it.

And, yes, we have a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. I don't know how, though, since it's a wet, raw, foggy day.

Default Spring Was Sure Short! Thurs., April 9

Late yesterday afternoon the snow started and by morning the branches of the old pine tree were laden and touching the ground! It has now changed to freezing rain but the temps are going up to 47ºF by afternoon with lots of plain old regular rain in the forecast. I am going to cancel my periodontist appointment and just eat the cancellation fee. There is no way I'm driving in this crud on the Killer 401 Highway just to get my teeth cleaned and a lecture on flossing!

Michelle comes mid-day and I am ready for her as I thought I'd be away. Aside from her regular great cleaning, we'll tackle clearing and cleaning of the kitchen cabinets. The storage "room" upstairs needs work but there is no way we can both be in there at the same time. (It's a small defunct sauna full of junk and seasonal stuff. Yes, the Christmas decor is still in the guest room!)

So - a day changed around but I'll just make the best of it. When the lane is ploughed - or melted - I'll venture out to the bank. Bob, the husband of one of the quilting gals, died and asked that any memorial donations go to Victoria's Quilts. (Wrong order! He asked BEFORE he died!) I have over $3K in cash and cheques to deposit and want to get it out of the house. I treat myself to some cut flowers when I'm road-running. On the other hand, Frugal Frannie may take over and remind me of the $50 cancellation fee for the dental appointment.

I see Cottage has arrived. Sorry about the bear dream, Linda, but glad you had a chance for very intimate family time.

Now for my second coffee and I'll set the timer to call the perio and cancel my appointment when they open at 8.

Good morning

Ruth. Don't get a speeding ticket getting to the 404. If you do come drop in for coffee, I'm minutes away from it. Lol
Linda. I wonder what your dream means, not that I believe in that.

myself of to a 10:15 dental appointment. No weather excuse here. Dh is wondering if I'm having an affair with my dentist. Not I would pick someone like Hugh Jackman.
take care
Sophie

Sorry, Sophie, but I meant the 401. The 404 is close though in being a killer.

Our road was ploughed just now but it sure is sloppy out there. It's warming up now so I probably should not have cancelled but it's not worth the stress.

Ruth we have pea soup type fog here. It is great Michelle is such a huge help. I've been treating myself to fresh flowers too. Brightens my mood.

Linda that was one weirded dream. Sophie, I don't buy into dream theories either, but some of them are quite enlightening.

Yankee detail was way too cold for my liking. I even put the heat up when I went to bed. My bones just don't like the cold at all. Had an enjoyable night. Worked with cops I haven't seen in ages which is always fun.

Not much going on here. Paying bills and riding indoors. I may tackle grocery shopping too, but really need to make a list.

Enjoy the day!

Good morning,

Another rainy day for us luckily our area missed the golf size hailed that hit about an hour south of us.

Cottage I hate having weird dreams

Ruth better to be safe than sorry since you don't know what the road conditions are on the 401

Sophie I am with you with Hugh lol!

Jekel glad you enjoy your OT duty and hopefully are now warm.

I went in to work today just to go into the office. Tonight I think DH and I will go out to dinner to celebrate our anniversary.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hi,
Does anyone know what the difference is between the South Beach Diet & the Mediterranean Diet plans & if anyone has used both? Pros & Cons...

Thank You

My weight is back in the 150's & I need a plan to follow. I don't like WW because there's no structure, it's tooo flexible.

Evening, chicks. Just wanted to stop by and catch up on the news.

Cottage, don't you hate those bizarre dreams that stick with you??

Ruth, that snow was heavy this morning. You were probably smart to re-schedule.

Jennifer, I hate being cold more and more as I age.

Happy Anniversary, Pearlrose!

Minidoodles, I don't know if any of us here have tried the Mediterranean Diet. Do they have a forum on 3FC? Maybe there in a website that compares the two. If you have specific SB questions, feel free to ask Good luck with whichever you choose.

Minidoodles, I don't know anything about Mediterranean diet. I started with South Beach diet and there's just such a great support network hear that it's really helped me stick with it. Best wishes!

I found out last night that my coworker who had twisted her knee wasn't going to be able to work Friday or Saturday so my luxurious days off turn to get it done today. I've done all kinds of stuff and DH is coming over tomorrow so it was time to pick up all my sewing things and restock the groceries. I'm just about caught up so I'm enjoying a cup of tea and will spend an evening reading and finish up tomorrow morning before work.

Pearlrose, happy anniversary!

See y'all tomorrow!
