Default HELP! Need to get off binge cycle! :'( Looking for weight loss buddy!

Hi all,

I have been on a binge cycle for over a week now. Since August, I get on plan for 6-7 weeks then go on a binge regaining all that I have lost. I have gained a total of 2 jeans sizes thus far which is really getting me down and depressed.

I am looking for some one on one support (weight loss buddy). Texting or emailing eachother throughout the day just to keep ourselves in check and pull one another away from dark thoughts. I am sure a lot of awesome people are struggling with the same issues so fingers crossed someone responds to this thread.

Hi there,

I was actually hoping to search for a texting/email buddy too but wasn't sure where to look! I'd love to be support buddies with you, but the problem is I do live in Asia, so there could be an issue with time zones where I'm not really available during the day when you need the most support, and vice versa!

Anyone here from Asia or Australia looking for a buddy too?

Hey I'm going through the same issue! Dropped from 130 to 108 and now I binged my way back to 118 the last few weeks very interested in an accountability buddy!

Hey Solztize! We are all here to help one another I gained about 20-25lbs so I understand how restarting your journey can be a little challenging. I am 3 days into my plan and so far it has been haaard!! I just want to binge and start tomorrow! I am doing my best to ignore the voices and I am sure in time they will fade away!

How is everyone doing?!!

I totally understand that feeling, kjasmin. I'm at day 9 and the eating urge is starting to act up! I'm trying very very hard to behave myself. So far I've been good XD

Well done Solzgize! Day 9 is awesome! Are you following a plan or eating healthy and exercising? If you have very bad sugar cravings cinnamon helps as it balances the blood sugar level. I am taking cinnamon supplements at the moment and they do take the edge off. Of course consult your doctor if you have any issues

I would love to hear more about you (and everyone else for that matter!) Have you always struggled with your weight? If you are uncomfortable sharing anything please don't feel pressured to do so, we are here to help each other not intimidate and put one another down.

Thanks for the support kjasmin! Great job being at day 3 too!
I haven't had sugar cravings. I think it's more of food cravings, but drinking water whenever I feel the urge helps take it out
I'm not following any specific plan. Just eating healthy and exercising everyday

I'm the only member in our family who's around the "heavy" side so I've been a little insecure about my weight. I've been trying to lose weight for 2 years now, but school has been hindering my progress. It's my school vacation now so I want to finally lose all that weight before I go back in August

What about you? (And the others too of course!) I'd love to hear more about you guys!

Well I have struggled with my weight my whole life. Food became my friend at a very young age, I was (and still am in some ways) a loner. I am very awkward around people and would always choose to be alone that with people. My family all have weight problems, my brothers managed to shed the weight and keep it off, I am the only who's weight yoyos. They don't have a food addiction as I do, it gets in my way all the time! Food doesn't solve my problems (it makes matters worse!) but I still turn to it for comfort. I am sure many of you can relate! I tried therapy but after several months I decided to quit. I saw no improvements and my wallet was getting too skinny when I'm the one who's trying to be thin LOL!

Same here! I have been chubby every since I could remember. Loving to eat food only made it worse. I kept on eating and eating until I realized how unhealthy I've become. I became a loner at school and my other classmates would even talk about me behind my back so I kept my distance with them.It was quite depressing, but that only made me more determined to lose weight
