Hey everybody! I'm new to the forums, but have been a lurker on and off for years, and figured since I am starting back up on my way to weight loss I would become active on here as well.
I just started back up yesterday, and oof, I forgot how exhausted one can get during and after a workout! I decided I needed to do something since I ballooned up after doing so well 2 years ago. I was going to the gym at least 4 days a week, working part-time and going to college full-time, watching what I was eating and well on my way to graduation and I felt fantastic!
I had a starting weight of 356lbs in 2009 in my freshman year of college and moved to Philadelphia where I was constantly walking out and about and dropped down to 320 in 2010, but I wasn't actively watching my dieting or doing anything other than walking from point A to point B. Later in 2011, I decided that I wanted to look and feel better in time for my graduation so that's when I started hitting the gym, watching my food intake and being overall a lot more active. By the time May 2012 rolled around I was at the lowest weight I have been in..I don't even remember, that's how long it's been. I had hit 263lbs and planned on continuing!
Fast forward to working in the food service industry straight out of college and going to the bar one too many times during the week with friends with poor food decisions included, a stint of unemployment, and here we are in 2015, and here I am, 28, and back at 333lbs and feeling like a beast. I try not to think 'if only I had stayed on track', but it is hard some days!
Alas, I promised myself that this time, I'll do better!
Nice to meet you all! I look forward to getting to know you and joining you on this roller coaster journey!
