I'm with you!!! I "said" I'd like to lose weight since high school, but never did anything. I started calorie counting and its making the pounds go down slowly!!! I don't say "no" to anything either, which really works for me because I get to enjoy my favourite foods. Now I just say "less" or "I had dessert yesterday, I'll have it again, but I don't need it today!"
Calorie counting helped me eat healthier too when I realized just how many vegetables I could eat cause they are so low in calories!!! I also live by the 'I'd rather eat my calories than drink them" so I have less soda, more tea, etc. (But I still enjoy Starbucks when I want!)
