Default I need guidance

Hello everyone! I am wanting to lose weight but not sure where to start. I am 148 and wanting to get back down to 125-130. I have gained all this weight in the last year and when I have lost weight before I have always done low carb. I am wondering if counting calories would be better for me? I like the easiness of low carb but don't know if it's something I can stick with for a long time? Any advice would be appreciated!

If you're considering trying calorie counting you might find this site helpful:
http://myfitnesspal.com

I never thought I would resort to counting calories, but after many people mentioned it here I decided to check it out. I am so glad I did! MFP actually makes it sooo easy to do and I've lost considerable more weight counting calories than I did trying to eat better on my own. You can also change your goals to include low carbs.

That said... I have to admit I've never tried a low carb diet. Other than trying to keep under the carb limit suggestion from MFP.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do!
