Default Food containers to keep food hot

I am wanting to start taking soup to work for my lunch but need a container to keep it hot. I have read a lot of mixed reviews and wanted to get some advice here before I make a purchase. Here are 2 I was considering.

http://www.amazon.com/Stanley-Advent...342V8J3HCYGY8F

Anyone have experience with either of these or have another recommendation? TIA

I haven't had any good experience with Stanley thermoses unless they are vintage (glass insulated), though I haven't personally tried either of those.

I use a Hydro Flask for keeping drinks hot or cold and they are AMAZING. Pricey but worth it (you can put ice water in it, leave it on the beach in the hot sun, and there will still be ice in it 12 hours later). I haven't used it, but they do make an insulated food flask. Might at least be worth checking the reviews!

@Diana3271: Thanks for asking a question that I've had off and on! I went to the Crock-Pot link pnkrckpixikat provided and they're a great deal right now.

@pnkrckpixikat: What a great suggestion! I hadn't thought further than a thermos myself so I was happy to see the option. I did end up buying one since I couldn't beat the price. Thanks for the idea!

I am glad someone found a use for one! I've heard such great things but I go to school and work part time so it isn't feasible for me and my husband never takes time to sit down and eat so he live off things he can snack on while working. Let me know how it works!

Most definitely, I will! I completely agree with you; this snazzy little crock would have been no use to me while I was a student. It really does seem better suited for someone who has a "home base" where they can set it up and have a hot dinner or lunch waiting for them.

An update. Last week I took the plunge and bought this one: http://www.amazon.com/Stanley-Advent...342V8J3HCYGY8F So far, so good. I make my soup in the AM while I am preparing my breakfast. I put it in the Stanley Jar and put it in my bag that I carry. I have been putting it in a plastic grocery bag just in case it leaks. So far it has not leaked. It gets bumped around but everything has been fine. Also, one day I didn't get a chance to eat until 1 or 2 hours later than normal. The soup was still hot. In fact, it's almost too hot. I'm thinking it would probably stay hot until dinner, LOL. It's suppose to keep food hot for 18 hours. I chose the larger container because you are not suppose to fill it to the top and I wanted to make sure I would be able to put enough food in there. I use the lid as my bowl.
