Default Updating your tracker when you GAIN!

I just updated mine and it was probably the hardest thing to do! I suffered from a medical condition that stalled my weight loss then caused me to gain weight due to hormone imbalances. What an absolute nightmare! As an example, I went to have blood work done and weighed 207 and a mere two weeks later I hit 212! Good news is I successfully completed a couple of procedures and am on the road to recovery.

I haven't been over 200 lbs in a few years but I know a number doesn't define me or anyone else either! I can't imagine how bad things could have gotten if I had completely given up.

Thanks to all of you for your support and inspiring stories. Through it all I came back here time and time again and reminded myself that we all diet with obstacles and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel

Yes, I hate it too. After I gained back 30 pounds I had lost a couple of years ago I didn't want to update forever. But, eventually, I recognized that regardless of what the tracker said my body knew how much I weighed so there was no reason to stick my own head in the sand....Still hard though.

Never feel ashamed of updating the ticker one way or the other. The weight is what it is regardless.

Thank you both so much! I sort of felt like a failure when the numbers went up. LOL it's almost like I was trying to fool myself into thinking it wasn't a reality. I finally had to deal with my medical problems and just put the weight loss on hold. Right now it's a slow process getting back into exercising. I used to exercise an hour a day and am having to adjust to the fact that my body can only tolerate about 1/2 hr before I get fatigued. I obviously didn't gain the weight overnight so losing it again will take time. I just HAD to take that step though. Gaining weight was a reality and absolutely nothing to be ashamed of! Right now I'm looking forward to getting back into some of my old clothes. Can't wait to post my losses!

Hey, I'm right there with you! I've only regained about 7 pounds but it's enough that I know I have to update the tracker to be honest and accountable. But, I know that it's a reality and this reality has to be acknowledged. Just know that everyone has ups and, more importantly, DOWNS and we got this. This forum is great for support, especially through the ups. So, let's do this!
